the building had some historical background which was nice. the pool was nice and the gym (however limited) was sufficient. the room had a good air conditioner and the staff were very friendly and helpful. the restaurant on the premises had a good assortment of food.
the tv in the room was not a smart tv, nor did it have streaming capability so channel selection was a bit limited.

Location perfect. Near Rugby Stadium.
Had an issue on shuttle not available although did communicate with Hotel on 8th August to be arranged for us for the 16th. However, Jimmy and his team made a plan and all was sorted. Thank you to the transport team.

The gym was of decent size with a couple of treadmills, bicycles, an elliptical machine, an older standalone strength machine that allows for a couple of different exercises, and free weights that range from 2.5 - 25 kg.
This is a so-called 5-star hotel: The lobby and rooms could use a facelift as there was shabby carpeting throughout. There were no coffee machines in rooms (e.g. Keurig, Nespresso) - just instant coffee. No spa.

Absolutely everything!! There is not 1 that that was not perfect. From the friendly security lady at the gate to the amazing front desk staff. The pictures don't do them justice, it's a charming hotel indeed.

The breakfast was wonderful with a complete selection of a continental/asian menu. The Waiters/Waitresses were extremely attentative. Congratulations should be given to the Reception Staff. The Lady who was in charge of the Transport Desk was extremely capable and ever ready to assist in tour bookings and advice to improve a visitor's choice. A huge thanks to Jim and Ben, the two main taxi drivers at the desk. Their knowledge of Jo'burg, it's people and history and the enviornment was of great assistance to my wife and self. If you wish for a secluded, peaceful stay, with no hassels, we cannot recommend the Holiday Inn Sunnyside Park, Johannesburg with great thanks so once again, thanks to everybdy.

Very good property near to the main attractions. Lethu , Okhule and Nonhlahla. The names were interesting and people having these exciting names were super welcoming. I loved it when they treated me with a fruit platter . I would definitely stay here again. Food was good and stay was nice.
A party going in night in the yard. Unlucky me had got a room near to it. Had to go up and down three times as the room key stopped functioning.

Friendly staff.
Coffee station in room could be upgraded. No access to plug for kettle. No dstv in rooms, 5 soccer channels, no rugby or cricket. Bar closed also on holidays so can't watch any rugby.
