proximity to business hub in sandton, good gym very clean rooms and well maintained
the package i paid for did not include breakfast- either error on my end but it would be good to pay for a package that includes bed and breakfast and for the price we paid , the cost of breakfast would not break the bank

Location, location, location! It’s perfectly central, you have access to everything!
They could furnish the place a little better. Also, when we checked in we were told everything was complimentary in the suite, when we were checking out they started charging us for the mini bar…they could improve on that. Also, they were understaffed in the breakfast area, it took ages to get someone to attend to us and take our order. They should consider doing a standard hot buffet service for people in a rush, then offer à la carte for people on holiday.

Good sized rooms and comfortable beds. Staff were exceptional. Great that we were able to use the business lounge after checkout for a shower before catching a late night flight. Note that Sandton Sun and Sandton Towers are separate buildings with separate receptions. Linked by a walkway over the street. Take a note of which one you are booking for your taxi/transport.
Air conditioning started off very warm. Once we worked out how to turn it down, it was then quite loud until it got to the desired temperature. Floor in the shower is a bit a slip hazard as well.

Location is great. Right next to Sandton mall and Mandela Square.
There was a mishap with our room at the beginning but staff corrected it right away. The manager called to check in, sent fruits and drinks to the room and waived off late check out fee. That was very nice. We will consider returning to this property.

Overall nice facilities and well maintained. Excellent location in Sandton.
Extremely noisy air conditioning (likely some fault, with noise going on and off all night) so that we did not manage to catch a good sleep. This significantly impacted our stay experience, which was otherwise very nice.

Sandton Sun is one of the best hotels in the Sandton area; right beside the mall. You don’t even have to leave the hotel to get to the mall and the restaurants. The hotel ambience is really nice, the staff are friendly, the bar looks good (I’ve not had time to explore it), the rooms are very spacious!

Great location with beautifully designed and furnished spaces. Restaurants provided great quality meals with high quality service. Club floor upgrade was a nice treat and when they heard it was our anniversary we received special decor and cake in our room. The staff are all very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend and we will stay whenever we are in Johannesburg.

The 2 bedroom tower suite was perfect for my family and our quick trip. We were not able to receive a late checkout however they let us utilize the business center to shower and refresh before out 10pm international flight, which was lovely. The staff was very kind and respectful. We had breakfast included in our reservation and my (17 yr old) son was glowing with excitement when he learned he could order from the menu AND have the buffet. There was a slight mix up with our breakfast order, but the manager made it right, straight away.
Overall I highly recommend this property!
There was not a towel in the kitchen to dry your hands, only napkins.
