My stay at Sandton Sun Hotel was absolutely wonderful. This is my second time staying here. The staff were truly outstanding, kind, polite, and always willing to help at any time.

Beautiful hotel in perfect location. Highly recommend this hotel if you have the chance. Its rather fancy so we felt quite blessed to stay here. We were in Johannesburgh for the Greatest Rivalry Rugby series. The All Blacks were staying in the Sun and we were staying in the Towers. Lovely spacious rooms - HUGE bed, and very comfortable. Lots of room for our big suitcases. Huge bathroom. Fabulous breakfast - decent buffet of fresh fruit and yoghurts and cereals etc and pastries and cold meats etc, plus some hot dishes too, and then you can order off the menu if you want eggs bene, a big breakie etc. So good. The staff are plentiful and all very friendly and accommodating. This is definitely a 5 star hotel - in a perfect and very safe location next to Nelson Mandela Square and Mall.

Honestly, all seemed a good. Breakfast open buffet, whatever you dont find they can prepare for you in kitchen, rooms are clean, gym is super good for those who workout. Staff are very friendly . Location is great

Booked a corner upgraded room at the Towers for family of 3. When checking in we were relegated to a so-called family room in the Sandton Sun property. It was a standard room with an extra queen bed in the room. Couldn’t open the cupboards (no space) and 3 suitcases had to be put on the floor, restricting the movement space.
The Sun property rooms and bathrooms are inferior to the Towers, yet we had to pay the higher prices for the inferior room.
The Sun & Towers used to be our first choice in Sandton. Will have to reconsider this choice due to this experience.

Clean and great location.
Cleaning Staff talking in the corridors around 8am. Restaurant staff seamed impatient.
No water in the room upon arrival. However delivered immediately after asking.
No option of bar service in the room. Athough a little fridge was available, it was empty. I was expecting a little more for a 5 star hotel.

proximity to business hub in sandton, good gym very clean rooms and well maintained
the package i paid for did not include breakfast- either error on my end but it would be good to pay for a package that includes bed and breakfast and for the price we paid , the cost of breakfast would not break the bank

Location, location, location! It’s perfectly central, you have access to everything!
They could furnish the place a little better. Also, when we checked in we were told everything was complimentary in the suite, when we were checking out they started charging us for the mini bar…they could improve on that. Also, they were understaffed in the breakfast area, it took ages to get someone to attend to us and take our order. They should consider doing a standard hot buffet service for people in a rush, then offer à la carte for people on holiday.
