It’s near restaurants, and plenty parking. And I liked that I could walk to shops.
The only thing is that on Saturday the entrance to the parking was closed and I got lost.

Hotel and room was tastefully decorated and was pleasing to stay in. Complimentary breakfast came with room and it was fantastic. Location was perfect, getting around was a breeze. Compliments to the hotel!

Room was modern and clean. Hotel located in the perfect spot. Breakfast was fantastic too. Staff were exemplary. I would most certainly recommend this hotel.
Unfortunately it was quite noisy due to the crowds visiting the Christmas light display in Melrose Arch. Otherwise, I'm sure it would have been fine.

The room , location and breakfast were all spectacular, they were as described the staff do go above and beyond especially since we had a 11MO baby with us. Every interaction with the staff was pleasant the, room overlooked the Christmas market which was so lovely since we couldnt go out at midnight with the baby, we were also able to see some lovely fireworks from neighboring areas from our room.
The Finding Nemo dish - we ordered from Room Service, the dressing was unpalatable and the plate was drenched in it, almost making is a waste of money, no matter how hungry you were, I couldnt bring myself to eat that salad which is half the dish. For my husband and I, there was only one pair of slippers, and only 1 gown.

I felt like a king at Protea. I love the old Hollywood theme and appreciate the inclusion of Black celebrities in the decor! The hotel is very elegant and in a fantastic location. Very upscale. Now the staff is next level. EVERYONE made me feel like I was the only guest. From the porters and housekeepers to the dining staff, everyone engaged me in convo and made sure I was having a great day. But then there was Smangele! My little sister made sure I had whatever I needed…from great recommendations to a big smile and greeting each time she saw me. She is the model for customer service. I’m not sure if she’s in management but she should be. Overall my stay was perfect and I will be returning on my next trip.

Location, location, location. We could walk everywhere. Area felt safe. Near several restaurants and shopping. Hop on the big red bus in front of the hotel and sight see. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast which is included was out of this world!

Not able to cater to muslim patrons.. frames etc couldn’t be removed as we cannot pray with picture of annimate objects around!

The pictures all over of musicians, actors and pictures depicting USA whilst we are in South Africa. I did not feel at home because of this.
