The room wasn't cleaned everyday
I found a small reptile like brown ? lizard in the room
I killed it but still found it lying there the following day. I then decided to check the curtains behind the cabinet I found dirt that looked very old. I stayed in one of the family rooms.

In the room, I liked the quality of the bedding and the room was huge and just perfect for what I wanted. The curtains blocked the sunlight perfectly, the breakfast was amazing and the room service was exceptional.
The TV remote was too old and nolonger had the clear letters/characters in it. So I couldn't lower or raise the TV volume because I did not know which buttons to press (I had to switchit off). Updating the TV would be great, maybe add latest platforms like Netflix etc.
However, this was just one thing. Everything else was exceptionally well.

The room aircon was not working the manager send the maintenance guy to open the window I was on the 10th floor mosquitoes got into the room and when I woke up in the morning I had full red marks in my leg.

The hotel rule is check-in by 14:00. The staff did not want to accommodate me at all by allowing me to check in a few minutes early. Then, when I came back from a triathlon and wanted to have a shower, the towels had been removed from my room by housekeeping. I was promised some towels but they took more than two hours to arrive. The next morning I discovered that the coffee in my room had not been replenished. There are always quite a few people behind the desk at reception but no-one seems to be working, they all seem to be observing. If this hotel is part of the hotel school, training youngsters, we should be told so we know what to expect

The location is great. The coffee table editorial book with the hotel history was the best feature. The staff was cheerful and helpful, that gave a good energy vibe.
TV remote buttons were were faded and couldn't see where volume, channels, etc were.

The staff and the service was good.
