Location in Durban was perfect--would not have wanted to stay in the city itself, as it does not feel safe or as clean as desired. The unique highlight of the hotel was the common area near where breakfast is served--comfortable seating for relaxing or happy hour and simply stunning views. Perfect place to unwind after Cape Town and our wonderful but busy safari experience. Local monkeys are very fun.
Construction next door was a bummer, but not the fault of owners. Room bathroom slightly small, but the setting made up for it.

The whole guest house is very clean and appealing with an immaculate view of the ocean. Our hostess and the staff were very friendly and welcoming..
The breakfast was bountiful and delicious - including a fresh egg dish made to order. Breakfast is served on the top level open patio area overlooking the ocean, where there is also plenty of room to relax and enjoy the views in sun or shade. I would return to the Ocean Vista Boutique in a heartbeat if ever the occasion presents itself. It is an easy 15 minute drive from the King Shaka International Airport and is also quite close to public access beaches.

A Slice of Paradise in Umhlanga, KZN!
A welcoming and very peaceful B&B in Umhlanga with sensational views. Snezana, the owner is very welcoming, kind, patient and accommodating, as are her very friendly and helpful staff. If you are looking for a peaceful stay with breathtaking views, then this is the place to be. Thank you for everything, the only problem was that I couldn't stay longer!

What a perfect stay! The hotel is beautiful and at a great location. The views on the ocean are to die for!
Breakfast is very good, staff also nice. Room very comfortable.
Snezana, the owner, is super nice! Thanks for all the help and nice talks! She also took the time to prepare a breakfast to go for the day I had an early activity.
The property is also very secured.

The views, rooms, breakfast, and impeccable service exceeded all expectations. Snezana and her team went above and beyond to accommodate my requests, making me feel completely at home.
Ocean Vista is truly a hidden gem—an elegant house that feels like a home away from home. As someone who travels frequently, I can confidently say that this is my only choice when visiting Umhlanga.
