The location is a 10/10, Breakfast 10/10, Spa 10/10 - great service, safety and facilities
One of our rooms was a little worn, toilet ran, door struggled to lock, not all lights would turn on - we did not complain, because everything else was so good.

Breakfasts were exceptional. Staff all incredibly friendly and attentive. Facilities are superb, as is the location. The best hotel in Cape Town that I have stayed in so far.
I cannot fault anything about The Bay Hotel.

Fantastic location, breakfast, spa and sauna. The staff was exceptional. They were helpful and friendly.
We were great full for the upgrade to a cabana room. We liked that our room opened to a private patio and pool.
Despite being upgraded to the Cabana room, it was at the end of the hall way and rather dated. The doors were misaligned and we could smell the sever from the bathroom drain. We had to cover the drain when the bathroom wasn't in use because black drain gnats were flying through the drain, which was disturbing.

The food, especially the main meal was very excellent, the hospitality of the staff was very impressive,very friendly and helpful staff.the rooms were clean and pool area was relaxing and the view was amazing.
The dessert cakes(cheesecake and carrot cake) tasted a lil stale/old/dry.We could not use the bath in the room because the water pressure of the bath tap was so low that it took forever(10-15 mins) to get the bath to a third of being full and by that time the warm water had already cooled down.

Location is arguably the best in Camps Bay being right in the middle of a vibrant restaurant strip. The breakfast was delightful and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The view from our sea view room was exactly as described. Our dining experience was both delicious and engaging as the staff ensured that everything was "just right". Simple inclusions that many other hotels charge for made our stay even better. Like fresh milk delivered to our room without charge, the complementary mini-bar with delicious fresh juices and snacks, a breakfast box for our early departure.
The 4 days of Cape Town wind but there's not a lot we could do about that - its seasonal and very strong.

Everything from location to interiors and the magnificent structure of my room with the most relaxing upholstery and amenities to a very well equipped mini bar and amazing and helpful staff… the hotel is a French riviera style structure in the heart of the Ocean and the views and scenery from the Hotel are breathtaking!!!

Staff was lovely, breakfast was yummy & lots of to choose from... it was nice to have a small living room area, deck, fridge, coffee in the room.
Undergoing construction currently in main lobby area - lots of noise (starting at 8am) & construction dust/smells currently. Rooms & hotel overall is a bit dated - hopefully current construction will update. It is offseason so I get it, but seems they could have put us in a room further from the construction, we were the closest room to the main lobby.

The hotel stay was lovely especially by the sea, the room was clean the bed comfortable, breakfast was delicious and the staff were very welcoming. The hop on and hop off bus was very convenient, dropping us off right in front of the hotel. I wouldn't mind going back to stay at the Bay hotel again!

The rooms were nice, staff at the breakfast buffet was exceptional.
2 rooms and both on different floors even though on both floors the adjoining rooms were available. We were told that the adjoining rooms were occupied however the rooms were vacant and after much request we were given adjoining rooms. The lady manager at the reception was rude and didn't know how to handle objections. Mountain view rooms literally had the back alley view. And the manager turned rude when we requested for a change.

Nice location. Clean, safe nice amenities. Staff very friendly. Great breakfast included. Good food for lunch and dinner.
I booked the large suite and was not initially brought to the large suit I had prepaid for. So ensure you get the room you booked for thru bookings.
