Very Good
A very classy place w. an excellent breakfast.
Rooms were a little old-fashioned but spacious. I had to walk a long flight of stairs to get to my room. I was first shown to a nicer room on the ground floor and then immediately switched for some unknown reason. Like several places I stayed at in S. Africa there was no decent reading lamp near the bed. But, all in all, a nice place.

The breakfasts were amazing. Aaron's omelette was very nice, and Roy's Eggs Benedict were absolutely fantastic and was sampled numerous times. Charles and Gift were very helpful during entire stay, and our room was well stocked and maintained. The entire residence was very safe and the view of the mountain from the lounge and jacuzzi deck was great.
The shower temperature controller setting was difficult to keep the water at the preferred temp and the bath exit should have some anti-slip on the top step. There are hand rails which were an excellent help though.

The breakfasts are outstanding and the staff are top notch. Very comfortable room. Good location and easy access to main CT attractions.

Location was good for the event we were attending
The room (double garden room) was advertised as recently refurbished which was not the reality. The room was equipped with noisy standalone fans and air conditioners making sleeping with them on impossible. The bed was hard as a rock and the mattress was very stained. The main curtains didn’t even fit the window when they were closed. Overall the room was very tired and silly things made the experience frustrating as a room for 2 had one robe, one flannel and a bottle of water by each side of the bed (nice touch) but only a glass on one side. Also the room description did not match the reality of the facilities in the room. We were looking forward to using the pool but it was very murky and did not look at all clean.

The staff were exceptional and went out of their way to make our stay a delightful one. We were welvomed by Charles late evening when we arrived who went to great lengths to explain all the amenities. The breakfasts were delicious and Roy and the rest of the staff went to great lengths to cater for our dietary requirements. Roy obtained delicious halaal sausages and designed a different breakfast daily. The perssonalized service was par excellance. Charmaine,Gift and Allen who are also part of the team also provided outstanding service.
I have no complaints.

The room was large and comfortable except that there is a sliding door between the room and the adjacent lounge.
The only real problem is the Egyptian Geese started to make a noise long before sunrise.

Wonderful
It is secluded and quiet! Seems safe outside - we left our car out in the street. It had all the amenities one would expect and need from a Guest House. It was very very clean! The staff in general were very courteous and helpful. They made you feel right at home. The bed was very firm and comfortable!
Although we were promised a parking garage, it was too small. We would have liked to see a bigger selection of teas. There are too many locks and keys to negotiate (the owners should invest in multiple locks that take the same key). The outside overhead light to our garden room was not working. We pointed this out to the night manager but it was not repaired. The main lobby of the property was used as a a type of conference venue and it was a little awkward interrupting the attendees to ✗ through them to exit the house.

The Riversong Guest House just feels like a home rather than an accommodation. From arrival to leaving everyone made sure I had everything I needed. The room is very spacious and the garden just beautiful. There was not one thing I did not like

The staff are amazing and can't do enough for you. Breakfast was lovely and always made to order. Very convenient location and garage for the car was a plus!
Mosquitoes were a little annoying - but to be expected due to the river in the garden.
