I had a truly memorable stay at this beautiful hotel in Cape Town on the waterfront. I was kindly upgraded to the Junior Presidential Suite, which was such a lovely surprise and it absolutely exceeded my expectations.
The suite was spacious, elegant, and incredibly comfortable, with a large private balcony overlooking both the ocean and the hotel’s outdoor pool area. Every evening, I sat out on the balcony and watched the sunset and it was the perfect way to end the day and truly one of the highlights of my stay.
Breakfast was exceptional with a fantastic variety of fresh, high-quality options (I recommend the pork sausages), beautifully presented and delicious. That said, a word of warning: the local seagulls are also fans of the pork sausages. One particularly bold one swooped in and stole mine right off my plate when I wasn’t looking. I want my sausage back. ? So maybe keep a close eye on your plate if you’re dining outdoors!
The service throughout was attentive and friendly without ever being intrusive.
The location is ideal as it is just a short walk from the V&A Waterfront, which made it easy to explore Cape Town’s shops, restaurants, and sights while still enjoying a peaceful and luxurious atmosphere back at the hotel.
I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, views in Cape Town.
A small note on room service: I ordered twice during my stay. The calamari was excellent, fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. The second time, I ordered the malay vegan tofu curry, which unfortunately missed the mark. In fairness, I had just eaten at the Bombay Brasserie the night before (which was phenomenal), so the comparison probably wasn't in its favor. But still, this is Cape Town (famous for malay food), and a 5-star hotel, so I expected a bit more.
The dish tasted a little off. I couldn’t quite put my finger on what was wrong, but the tofu was quite spongy and watery rather than crispy or well-seasoned. It wasn’t inedible, just disappointing.
That said, everything else about the stay was outstanding, and I wouldn’t hesitate to return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, beautiful views, and a peaceful but central base in Cape Town.

We had a wonderful stay at the Radisson Collection Hotel, Waterfront Cape Town during our honeymoon from August 2–6, 2025. The hotel went above and beyond with thoughtful honeymoon preparations that made our experience truly special. The location was perfect—conveniently close to the V&A Waterfront with beautiful views. The staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and always ready to help. We highly appreciate the warm hospitality and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cape Town.

The location, rooms and atmosphere
The staff treatment at check in time, which was so unacceptable and affected the overall experience! The situation was my first booking got cancelled because of a failed scheduled payment, so i had to book again and confirm. After family members arrived from a 24 hour flight they said both bookings are paid for and confirmed, when i talked to the staff they kept going around and not being clear and refuse to show evidence of the other booking which is supposed to be cancelled! And when i kept asking for clarification over the phone she then refused to talk to me! I believe this was meant to scam my family members! Because they asked me over the phone that we have to have both bookings since its already confirmed and payed for! I keep telling them its cancelled and i didn’t receive any booking, they kept saying otherwise! And ask me to contact booking when there is systematically no issues on my confirmation! Nor payment was deducted from me twice! I then call booking for more clarification they confirmed 1 booking was cancelled and 1 is confirmed , they tried calling the hotel and emailing the hotel with no response! My family who i booked for were upset for having to set a while arguing and not resting with a smooth check in!!! This was very negative
