I got there at midnight new year and everything in Capetown was booked but the front desk receptionist was so kind and did his best to get me an early check-in. He was able to get me and my girlfriend a room within 1 hour. I had to pay a small early check-in in fee but I was so glad and will forever be grateful to the guy. Everything was exceptional

Wesley on the tours desk was especially helpful and the shuttle to the V & A was great.
We were part of a tour the was beginning in the Pullman and as we were coming in a couple of days early we book the extra nights. We explained this when we booked in and were assured that we could stay in the same room for the duration of our stay. However house keeping came to us on the day that the accommodation was to begin for tour to ask what time we would be vacating our room. We explained the situation and were told that they would check with reception. Later in the day when we were leaving to go on a booked tour we were then told that we needed to change rooms. As we were on our way out we didn't have time to go back and move our belongings.
It seemed that things in reception were often confused.
For some reason we were the only ones contacted for our tour group with regard to planned tours. Initially we didn't know the people in our group and we were sitting around waiting however everyone was already in lobby.

The room was very nice, and the breakfast was awesome. The staff are very polite and very helpful. The location of the hotel is excellent. The hotel has also a complimentary whereby they offer free transport to and from V&A Waterfront.

Great location. Quiet room. Big in-room safe that could store laptops and other items. Reception, coffee shop, and bar staff are helpful and friendly.
It's a LONG LONG LONG way from being the 4.5 stars their blurb advertises. Maybe 3.5, if I were being optimistic, would be more accurate.
The beds are incredibly soft, and the twin beds pushed together to create a double meant that the middle dipped hugely, more so than anywhere else I've stayed in my 9.5 years of travelling 365 days a year. Every time I turned over, it felt like a mountaineering expedition as I rolled into the dip and had to clamber up the other side. ;) Made for sleepless nights.
Housekeeping doesn't seem to care. The lady came at about noon one day and said she could only clean if I left the room. I told her I just needed to use the bathroom and then I would go out, so she could come back in 5 minutes. I went out, even though I didn't want to as I had work to do, and returned an hour later. About 2.5 hours after she first came, she returned. No good to me at all as I had work to do, and I wasn't going to leave my room yet again.
There are WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY better places to stay in this area at this price or cheaper.

The property is in a fantastic location. A short stroll to Capetown Station, Shopping Centres, bars & restaurants. The courtesy shuttle bus is a bonus to get you to VA Waterfront. Big clean room with a cosy bed. The staff are incredibly friendly, always looking out for you & so accommodating. I would highly recommend this property!
