Our room was beautiful, but the real stars of the hotel were the staff. They were so friendly and welcoming, especially Eleanor, Phillip, and Phumla. Every day, they always made us smile even bigger than we already were. We miss the One & Only and South Africa so much!
The layover process was dysfunctional. We just wanted to change clothes before our flight and we had to take a golf cart to the spa and then take our giant bags into the hot, humid spa where we had to walk across the entire spa to change. Then the golf cart left so we had to walk all the way with our bags back to the front of the hotel. We would have much rather used the bathroom off the lobby than have that experience again.

Hotel staff I couln't fault - the staff were amazing, beautiful room, they really treated us well with some delicious deserts and chocolates waiting in our room and a bottle of champagne as it was our anniversary! 10/10
My husband and I got really bad Salmonella poisoning from Nobu on our first night. Be careful.

hotel location is in the short distance from anything at the waterfront and with easy access by car. Room size is bigger than usual. Bed is so comfortable you don't want to leave it. Breakfast is exceptional (there are oysters served). Hotel management staff is very helpful.
Cleaning service needs to be improved. They do not pay attention to "Clean my room" sign - one day it was on the door for 5 hours and the other - for 4 hours without any action.
When there was no sign the cleaning team decided to make the service at almost 10pm. So when I came back to the room - it was in the middle of the service. At the end instead of going to sleep I spend around 30min until they empty the room

The AC in my room was not cooling and the maintenance stuff came couple times to fix the problem but they don’t!
When I call reception for my room they don’t respond!?! Any they respond after couple long calls

Everything was wonderful, from the moment we arrived at the property and received the most attentive welcome and checked in we were in “Heaven” the entire time we spent at the property! The staff is beyond gracious, attentive, and quick to satisfy any of your needs, the food in the hotel is one of the best we have had and the comfort of the rooms is fit for a king! The location could not be any better if you are willing to take a short walk to waterfront and other attractions in town. This was probably one of the most beautiful and comfortable places we have stayed in the world. Highly recommend!!!

The staff is very friendly. The rooms are nicely decorated, we overlooked the harbour and it was very quite at night. The pool and spa is extraordinary. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast is outstanding, they even have glutenfree options on the buffet and on the menue.

Great walking distance location to the V&A waterfront. Modern and well equipped rooms. Didn’t feel cramped at all - very spacious. Kids club was excellent and made our stay with our child much easier to manage - excellent staff in kids club.
Nothing - all was excellent. Price could be a bit more purse friendly though!
