We absolutely loved our stay at Kensington place. Our room was modern and had a spacious balcony with amazing views of Table Mountain. The breakfast was fantastic, could be served to the room, and was available late for those of us who like to sleep in. The service was also outstanding - they had plenty of suggestions, were very attentive, would put hot water bottles in our bed at night, and would offer to send tea up to our room when we got back from dinner. The lobby and grounds are also beautiful. It was too chilly to use the pool, but we enjoyed sitting around the fireplace. The area is very quiet and peaceful, and was convenient for exploring the rest of Cape Town.
Our only two (small) criticisms are that the pillows were too firm and the bathroom was a bit small (not much counter space for toiletries).

Great Breakfast all day! Lovely people. Great service. Peacefull garden, little oasis in the city. Everything very green. Beautiful room. Will definitely come back:)
