Compass House itself is amazing. The view is breathtaking, felt like staring at a paint . The rooms are spacious, very clean and with a luxurious feel. All the staff were fantastic, welcoming and helpful; probably the best breakfast I've had at any hotel. Heartfelt hospitality!

Compass House Boutique hotel is a truly gem with a spectacular view over the ocean. The infinity pool is grandiose . I really enjoyu the wide choice they are supplying for breakfast, freshly squeeze orange juice, fresh fruits, the best scramble eggs ever. The speed of the wifi was amazing. If you need to book somewhere in Cape Town, your should book at this boutique hotel, you wont be disapointed.

Incredible Service, Great Wi-Fi, The inverters they have covers the main things needed during the daily black outs South Africa is experiencing. They also advise you of daily outages ahead of time so you can plan the day better! Safe and secure boutique Hotel and the age limit for guests keeps the environment tranquil and peaceful! NO BETTER VIEW !

Truly the best of Boutique Hotels - Feels like your own private Mansion on the Coast of the Atlantic Ocean. Attentive & Knowledgeable but not overbearing staff - Truly made us feel special. Loadshedding was barely noticeable and prefer the inverters over the noisy generators at other Hotels - yes you give up the TV & Aircon during the black outs but no one should visit this Hotel to watch TV.

Exceptional staff, beautiful views, tasty breakfast, gorgeous pool & sun deck. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The bathroom was great size, with a lovely waterfall shower.
We stayed in the standard double, and found the decor and furnishings a little bit too minimalistic. I wish the interior of the room was a little bit more special / luxurious - but perhaps my expectations were just a bit too high as we were on our honeymoon so I hoped for the room to have more of a cozy / romantic vibe.

There is an electrical power outage 2 times daily for a couple of hours sometimes up to 5 hours.

I loved everything about this hotel, except that it did not have a generator and during load shedding it was impossible to enjoy staying there. First night upon arrival after 28 hrs of flying, we arrived for a special birthday weekend to a hotel with no electricity and no water (local pipe burst). we could not see in the room, nor charge our phones or even take a shower and brush our teeth. The water was repaired the next day, but no electricity both nights. the hotel needs to buy a generator. It is an absolutely beautiful property and I would have loved it if it had water and electric. until that is fixed its impossible to enjoy this expensive property.
The constant load shedding, burst water pipe and no generator.
