A Gem in Cape Town: Wish We Could Have Stayed Longer!
Our stay at this beautiful bed and breakfast was easily one of the highlights of our trip to Cape Town.
Here is why we loved it:
The Warmest Welcome: Our host was absolutely incredible. We were greeted at the door with a cold beer, which was exactly what we needed after a day of travel.
Local Expertise: The host didn't just hand us a key; they sat down with us and provided a ton of amazing recommendations for hidden gems and local favorites that made our itinerary so much better.
The Food: Every morning started with a fresh, and delicious breakfast.
The Vibe: The house itself is gorgeous and impeccably kept, offering a perfect blend of comfort and style.
The only downside? We didn't book a long enough stay. If you’re heading to Cape Town, do yourself a favor and stay here—just make sure to book an extra night or two because you won’t want to leave!

We've stayed here for one week. James is extraordinal host, very positive and always willing to help. Breakfasts were really good. This house is amazing and wonderful place to stay in Capetown - very calm, beautiful, warm-hearted. Location is perfect also. I'd definitely stay here once again if ever have a chance to visit CPT again.

Location was great if you want to walk to the waterfront or V&A Shopping Mall. Being Vegan, there was a great cafe nearby that we could walk to for lunch. Breakfast was excelent and great choice for anyone. James was an excellent host and went over and above to make sure our stay was the best.

We usually stay at AirBnBs but this time chose to stay at a more traditional lodging. AND WE GLAD WE DID! James, the owner was such a great help, providing us with great tips on how we should navigate around the city, where to eat, and what to see. The room and breakfast were great as well.

It's my first time in Cape Town, we had a rest with my wife. I was choosing a place to stay for a long time and the choice fell on Cheviot guest house, and it turned out to be a wonderful place. We got a room on the second floor with a beautiful view of the ocean. The owners of the house, James and Brooke, are wonderful people who helped us organize our leisure time during our vacation. In the evening you can enjoy the terrace sunset with wine, and in the morning you will find a hearty and tasty breakfast.

Such an extraordinary find, me and my friend loved the guest house!
It’s in a perfect location; a short Uber ride to all different places in the city. Also safe and walking distance to promenade of Green Point / park and the Oranjezicht market, or to Italien brunch/ lunch place Giovanni’s.
It’s super clean and the breakfast was amazing. Very delicious and in one room with the other guests (mainly couples), creating a good atmosphere.
Comfy beds with different pillow selection.
Friendly staff, particularly the owner James. He was fantastic and so helpful. Also he made an exceptional late check out possible.
Thanks so much for the stay and making us feel so safe and welcome.

The breakfast was very well presented, the staff were attentive and the host, James always went out of his way to make sure you got what you wanted and that it was fresh and locally sourced.
