The rooms were good overall and staff seemed professional.
Breakfast was not what we expected considering other hotels in Montevideo:
1. Mostly sweet food - too much of it, not enough vegetables/fruits.
2. Some food was spoiled (we experienced yogurts, milk and eggs a few times) and some was not of a good quality, like bread for example. So every time we came to breakfast, we were curious if we could eat enough given the food quality on this day.
3. Orange juice tasted like the cheapest concentrate from the grocery store, not a normal orange juice.
4. There was bad moldy smell when you come early in the morning, seemed like the old rags were used to clear the tables or something like this.
5. Cheese lasagna and omelet were much better in other hotels we stayed, and since it was the only hot food and like a main dish, we were greatly disappointed.
We were very surprised and disappointed as other nearby hotels in Punta Caretas for the same food provided much better quality and did not have the same problems. Have no idea why it's so for OWN.

Great location. Walkable to everywhere, including a major shopping mall. Staff was very nice to us. Cleaning staff was excellent. Rooms were always neat and clean.
No coat hangers.
There was no ability to control the room temperature. It seems it was all controlled in a central location. We would wake up at night with the AC blowing hot air.
The included breakfast was terrible.

The hotel's location is excellent. The pool area is a nice bonus on hot summer days. The rooms are very clean with comfortable beds. There are a few good restaurants nearby, and best of all, a large shopping mall just around the corner. It's a short walk to the seaside promenade to enjoy the ocean. The staff is absolutely wonderful. The breakfast could have used more variety.

Location is perfect, near Rambla, good restaurants and shopping mall.
Breakfast is a bit challenging for celiac visitor while no gluten free bread available, rice cakes.

Great location near the restaurant and cafe and the biggest mall in Montevideo. We had a suite. Great sizes with the coffee machine and king-size bed. comfortable and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Good breakfast.
They didn't provide any water or coffee for our 3 nights stay. We had to buy from them. I think with the price we paid, a cup of per day and a bottle of water in your room is not too much to ask.

Cleanliness, bathroom in room, room size, and breakfast were all good. Pool looked nice but we didn’t use it because of the weather.
Cost of laundry was 8USD for a pair of trousers which is ridiculous. Some construction work behind disrupted our morning slightly but not significant.

A modest breakfast. Coffee and orange juice were ok. The location is just ok.
The fruit looked melted, probably stored in the freezer, looked bad. No omelette station. Extra cost for cappuccino.
On our last night we asked the receptionist if we could check out the room a couple of hours later the next day and she promised. On our last morning we confirmed the same thing with another receptionist and she promised too. She later saw my husband and said that she still had to check with the manager if there would be any additional costs. When we passed the receptionist after half an hour, she didn't say anything to us. Then when we were leaving the hotel, the receptionist suddenly said that we had to pay 40 USD. Why couldn't he tell us about it in advance? We paid but we had a really bad feeling about it.

Well located, large rooms.
Could use a renovation and the breakfast was truly poor. Coffee was awful, had to get my own coffee from coffee shops around the place.

The location is great.
The rooms were not clean, I lived there for a week and all they cleaned was the floors. The curtains were dirty and full of mold ( I have attached picture). The breakfast was poor.

Air conditioning wasn't working, mentioned to the front desk several times, they never left fresh tea and coffee in 4 nights just 2 coffee, creamer and sugar as we check in. Toilet and shower area very small .

Location was close to the Rambla, shops and public transport.
Staff were unhelpful when I told them I was unable to order room service the first night as there were 3 different signs posted with varying times. Was unable to charge phones with no USB connections in room and staff advised they couldn't help and were unable to provide an adapter. The shower leaks water onto slippery tile floors. The water tap in sink was about to fall off, the windows don't close securely and the wind whistles all night through the gaps. Spiders in the room due to windows not closing. Broken cupboard under sink. Glass on sink had lipstick on it. Reading light next to bed was not secure. Bed mattress was wavy due to being so old and used. No double glazing on windows, so be prepared for the early morning traffic and construction next door. Breakfast was not fresh food, the breads were old and hard, fruits and vegetables were slimey. Manager appeared in restaurant at breakfast and instructed staff to reduce portion sizes and water down the fruit juices that he delivered himself which were clearly home made. Wonderful
We had a situation with our rooms that was promptly resolved by the staff, who were very helpful. Location is nice, one block away from a shopping mall with supermarket, coffee shops (The Lab on a beautiful old house) and restaurants (La Perdiz with the best parrilla). Also close to the "rambla" and the Museo Juan Zorrilla de San Martín, which is a beautiful old house from one of the most influential citizen in the country. Worth the visit.
The breakfast was OK, could use some different options from one day to the other. I had a rental car but the hotel does not offer parking. Sometimes during the day may be a little annoying finding a spot at the street or somewhere near the hotel.
