IBIS is a fine hotel with nice rooms and very well situated, close to the beach/Rambla and not too far from the old-city. The staff was very efficient and helpful... they even kept our luggage when we went for a walk before leaving the city ! The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was very good and the restaurant too, (dinner) we ate very well at IBIS; there are also some nice restaurants close by... and a grocery store ! I recommend it without hesitation.
The postcard beaches are on the other side of the park, a fair walk away from the hotel, but along the seaside !

Great location but short on amenities. Small room comfortable but more like a college dorm.they don't even provide bottled water in the room. Without the location this would be a 2 star hotek

The staff was friendly and there was one receptionist that spoke a bit of Dutch, which was great. The hotel is located next to the German embassy. The room was clean and had a view of the ocean.

Great location facing the Rambla. Good breakfast arrangement with nice outdoor seating area toward the Rambla and river beyond. We stayed twice at this hotel, a night on each end of our trip to Uruguay; both rooms were clean and nice.
The only issue was the hairdryer in one of the rooms we stayed in had a faulty cord and it burned my parther’s hand while she used it. Appears there isn’t a ground fault protection for the bathroom electrical circuit.

The location on the Rambla is great! Getting the rooms closest to the Rambla/ south are best (100, 200, 300, etc.)
Hair dryer had a faulty cord and started sparking, burning my partner’s hand - Check out the cord before using!
