Exceptional
Breakfast was not included. The location was excellent because all important sites are within walking distance. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Although it is not a "5-star" hotel, the value was well worth it.
Other than the fact that there was no elevator and many stairs to climb, I have no complaints about this hotel.

Our room was large, with a balcony and high ceilings, that made our stay very pleasant. Balcony doors opened to let in all the fresh air we desired. Bed was very very comfortable. Bathroom & shower were perfect. Clean. Refrigerator in the rooms. The entire staff from the night male receptionist to the mother & son day-time receptionists to the two women cleaners were exceptional— sweet, friendly, helpful, and professional. We enjoyed our long stay. While the hotel does not offer breakfast — they offer tea & coffee. They provide a toaster, plates and cutlery for you to make your own toast or sandwiches. It’s a great location for walking everywhere. Nice coffee shops and bakeries within 2 blocks…
We liked everything. In the larger cities in So America like Buenos Aires, many hotels, stores, stations use fragrance/ scent diffused thru HVAC or fan systems. This hotel uses incense and maybe scent in a large lobby fan. It is important to note, that if you are allergic to scent, you need to have a room with a window to the outside for fresh air. (By the way, I seemed to be the only one who noticed the fragrance/ incense. The South Americans staying here were not bothered by it & didn’t seem to notice it.)

Room with no window, two flights of stairs to get up to the lobby of the hotel, the whole hotel is enclosed, you have to walk up those stairs with your luggage and no one helped us, mirror was disgusting, shower had virtually no pressure whatsoever, toilet seat didn't fit the toilet

We had a great stay at Casablanca. The staff was great and attentive to our needs at every moment. We are sure to come back to Casablanca when we return to the city.

Friendly staff and good location. Just 5-minute walk to the main plaza.

Room size is good. Shower was nice. Loved the old building. Was good to have parking near. Could walk to waterfront and historical centre with gorgeous La Puerte Mercado.
Smell of incense was nauseating in the reception area.

The location was good and the cost was affordable. The room and bathroom were clean which was nice.
The big guy behind reception asked me for my passport info after I had already provided it upon check in. Later, I informed him my girlfriend was coming over and he said okay. When she got there, he made her wait in the lobby. I brought her up to my room and while we were there, he knocked on my door and said that she had to leave as there was only one person on the reservation. I had one night with her in Montevideo and he ruined it. Creepy and ridiculous behavior on his part.

The staff was very friendly at check in and throughout our stay. It seems like we were in a really good neighborhood, close to restaurants and bars. The hotel was quite cool with its layout and building.
The room didn't have any windows and I thought I must've missed something. But I can't find this information anywhere? If they refer to inner courtyard view we had to open the door to see this and the inner courtyard, although being quite cool, was indoors and the area where reception and eating area was. No window just put me off a little bit, and I would've appreciated if this information was more clear when booking.

The location is good. Nearby are cafes and shops. The room is comfortable, a comfortable bed, table, chairs, wardrobe. There is a refrigerator. The bathroom is equipped with a separate shower area, shampoo and soap. Polite, pleasant staff.
