I like the building where is the hotel and i like the location
It wasn't clean, there were cockroaches, really very dirty. I think if the hotel were clean it would be a completely different experience.

The front desk staff is friendly for the most part. The main area has plates, cups, and utensils and a big study table. I liked that we are allowed stay there at all times and also bring our own food.
The room stank, I think it came from the bathroom and it made it super uncomfortable to sleep there. The lighting in the room is really poor and kept not working, when I went to ask to get it fixed they said that the maintenance person found it working fine and recorded a video to show, but I felt uncomfortable that they recorded it in the first place since it shows my personal belongings, I did not consent to that and I don’t know if they deleted the video afterwards. Since they did not fix the lighting, it kept randomly not working and I did not feel comfortable bringing up the issue again. The main hall did not have AC at night so it gets really hot and stuffy. there were a lot of mosquitoes and fruit flies in the hall especially at night that bothered me a lot making it really hard to use this area at night, kind of defeating the purpose of it being open at all hours. So one night when I could not withstand the smell of the room, I went down to the hall and then immediately started sweating from the lack of AC and got a lot mosquito bites and was generally swatting away fruit flies every second. The kitchen and bathroom of the main hall have a LOT of cockroaches. There are no fridges.

Location and price
They opened my window windowing knocking, didn’t make the bed for 3 days and they said it was because I left clothes on the bed. After complaint the housekeeping came with an angry face. Bad bad. Bed is very uncomfortable.

Nice staff :) open to help. Great location close to many nice spots in Ciudad Vieja.
I thought since was a hostel, it would have some activities to meet the others. Also would recommend to make a list of places to eat, visit and party. One of the staffs did not know what recommend to go out to dance, or the name of a famous street full of bars. There was no fridge for guests. It would be nice to have one. And the bathroom of the room was full of mosquitos and smel pipes, even was clean though.

On the morning of my last day, my reservation was cancelled due to an electricity outage. I was informed at the very last moment, which left me without accommodation and under a lot of stress. This situation caused me both financial and emotional damage. Finding a new place on such short notice was very difficult and expensive. I believe this is unacceptable and shows a lack of responsibility and professionalism. I do not recommend this place, especially if you value reliability and proper communication.

There is a terrace where you can hang out maybe watch the sunset and bring coal so you can grill. The room felt very clean and comfortable. You can also rent a bike from them.
At first if you are walking to this hotel you might miss it it can be easily missed.

it's modern
FIRST AND FOREMOST THE STAFF SHOULD ALL BE REPLACED. They are so busy watching movies and talking to the other ones they wouldnt even tell me how to make coffee or them make coffee when i had a meeting with a wonderful couple. she just marched back and forth serving herself and going to the bathroom. i suspected drug use did to the erratic behavior amongst them. there were no towels, no microwave even, just really a fancy building with bare bones service and other than a big table in the freezing lobby zero amenities. also the sketchy location is barely safe in daytime but definitely not at night. their front door was never locked anybody can just push it and come right in. when i mentioned the numerous TRAVELERS RED FLAGS They bristled. do yourself a favor and go to safe secure and great service VIAJERO MONTEVIDEO or the ultra cool.... beautiful friendly total house YOUKI HOUSE in Parque Rodo. i've been around the world CIRCUS IS JUST THAT...A CIRCUS FULL OF CLOWNS!

There was one very friendly guy at reception. The sole redeeming quality of this establishment.
The room was filthy. Hair on the floor that showed when i took my shoes off and wore my socks. That should not happen in a clean room.

Wonderful
The staff were so amazing. Federico and Ita (and everyone!) really made us feel welcome and answered all of our questions about montevideo. Plus there are 2 terrace cats!
