Not sure how much Yakima depends on tourism - I think business is a more likely reason to go out, and this hotel hit that sweet spot for business travel. Nice enough to be comfortable without being needlessly fancy, comfortable rooms, small pool with good late hours, convenient from the freeway and to the places I wanted to go. Got in later, staff was friendly and helpful, slept well and was out early the next day with no problem. Barely was there long enough to enjoy that river view, which was very nice.
No too much to complain about, even the fact that they didn't provide a complimentary breakfast was balanced by the paid options including espresso drinks. I actually prefer to pay for a latte than settle for drip so that's actually not a complaint I'm just filling this box.
