Proximity to the Huntsman Cancer Institute.
Very disappointed. The kitchen was closed. My husband has cancer and we were looking forward to ordering room service. This meant I had to venture out to find us dinner. We barely received an apology.

Breakfast Saturday was below average. Eggs were cold. Staff was busy serving the football team in the other room. Sunday breakfast was a little better. Bed was comfortable
We had to change rooms because we had no hot water. The bathroom needs towel racks. One little towel clip on the wall is not enough.

Nice location, roomy suite.
I did not interact with the concierge at all. At check-out, I thought the concierge on duty was greeting me when I dropped off my key in the return box, but it turns out she was saying hello to a couple that had just entered the hotel. The fact that she had completely ignored me as I approached the front desk did not leave a good impression.

Hotel is a bit worn out, although they are renovating. Value for the money not good at ty his point.

Close to venue is reason why I picked it
Yes, construction going on which we could've been told before hand. For a Marriot surprised it didn't have a pool. Also, Starbucks had certain hours yet, closed earlier than suppose to. Also, they are holding my deposit way too long.

The hotel itself is very nice, and the rooms are comfortable. My only complaints are 1. The bathroom door isn't a door. It slides like a barn door and makes a racket if it hits the opposite end and doesn't provide the privacy it should. 2. The hotel lobby and conference rooms were too cold and when a few attendees complained to the staff no one would change the temperature saying it would be uncomfortable for men in suits. Others also complained to the staff with no results.
Cold lobby and conference rooms. So cold we had to go outside to warm up and eat. One of the elevators was broken our entire stay (4 days).

It is close to the university
There were laundry carts stored outside our room!!!! That was tacky and not becoming a Marriott!! They seemed short staffed in the restaurant knowing that there was a conventions and move in for the school
