I actually thought I´d booked the Marriott City Creek so we were disappointed when we arrived, jet lagged from Europe after a dreadful flight from Atlanta - but that soon changed. The staff were wonderfully welcoming, the room was comfortable, we loved the breakfast buffet (the chef really knows how to cook eggs), and took advantage of the gym, pool, and hot tup. The latter came in very handy when I tripped and hurt my knee downtown plus I also really appreciated the ice machine (in the little alcove where guests could replace their coffee supplies and which occasionally had apples --if it didn´t the gym did),. Easy walking distance to most things.
I was flumoxed by the coffee machine - but fortunately some kind soul on YouTube posted a video explaining how it worked. The decor is somewhat dated and I do wish they would add a hand held shower head to the bath/shower.

Location was perfect. Hotel is beautiful. Rooms were spotless. Beds were comfortable and temperature was easy to adjust. Gym and pool seemed brand new. Lots of self serve corners to grab extra toiletries, coffee etc. Starbucks on sight. Restaurant has delicious pasta/pizza. Bonus ice skate rink right outside the back entryway :)

Very clean and modern rooms. Bed was fairly comfortable.
Walls are paper thin, and you can hear everything happening within 50 feet on your door. Windows also do nothing to keep the noise of drag racers out. If you plan on sleeping, bring ear plugs.
For the price of the room plus parking, I could have stayed in a quieter part of town and taken a Lyft for the same price. Now I know.

The water pressure from the shower faucet was amazing! Not so much from the shower head. Something adjustable would make it so much better!

The breakfast options were great. A little on the high side for just eggs and sausage. However, I would go again.
Cleanliness was outstanding, that was our determining factor on staying at this property again.
The beds were a tad uncomfortable. That was the only slightly negative thing I have.

The hold on the card lasted for an entire month, and nobody from costumer service contacted despite my pleas and Booking.com even asked the hotel to pay attention to my costumer service letter and nobody bothered to respond.

The location is perfect for attending a show at the Eccles theater. It’s was clean and spacious.
The checking in staff was not informative, they didn’t share some critical details.

The room had a bathroom floorplan layout that was not good: the toilet was in sight, right next to the door and the tub was inadequate.

It looked like hotel was understaffed. When we arrived with 6 skiing bags during late afternoon, no one met us from the taxi or helped us carry the suitcases up the 10 stairs leading into the lobby. We did not even know there was an elevator. We waited for 40min for our suitcases to be taken to the room. Service and staff were not at the level you would expect from a hotel in Salt Lake City that charges $450/night.
