Fair
The room was relatively quiet for the location and the bed was comfy.
My first impression was it looked and felt like a murderous motel from the movies, but on checking in and getting to my room it was then really like a movie room….
The elevator didn’t work and I was top floor so that was a pain.
It’s in a very poor part of town and you need to drive to find somewhere safe and tidier to eat

Very Poor
Location
TERRIBLE.
The staff was incredibly rude and the motel is a dump. The worst stay I’ve ever had in Salt Lake City.
When I checked in, they couldn’t find my Booking.com reservation, and made me book a second reservation directly with them. When I asked Booking for a refund, the hotel lied or was confused and told Booking they actually checked me into the room (suddenly, they found my Booking.com reservation?). After checking into the reservation I made directly with the hotel (not Booking.com), I noticed the floor was dirty after walking around for a while without my shoes on because my socks immediately turned black. Also, there was no towel rack on the wall. It had been removed and was sitting under one of the nightstands.
Then, around 8:00, the front desk agent knocked on my door and told me that I needed to check out immediately or they were calling the police!! They never said I was causing a disturbance to other guests, I was breaking no laws, making no noise, and they didn’t say that anyone complained about me or my guests. Yes, I had invited less than 5 people over total (who didn’t stay long), and only one person arrived after 8:00. We were all leaving shortly to go to dinner and celebrate multiple life milestones as friends.
Apparently, the hotel has a policy that you are not allowed to have guests in the room after 8:00 P.M. This is non-standard for any hotel, was not explained to me upon check-in, and the sign stating the policy is not clearly visible when checking in. The way the front desk is arranged, the agent sits in the corner, and there is a plastic window with a small opening at the bottom to pass physical objects. When checking in, you’re forced to turn your body 45 degrees to face the agent, and to hunch over to hear what they’re saying through the plastic opening. The sign showing the policy is not apparent to someone checking in. Additionally, I never signed and wouldn’t have agreed to this policy if they had made it known.

Disappointing
Bed was comfortable, toilet and shower were clean.
When I walked into the front office it was very run down. Large chunks of paint off of the wall, furniture from the 70's, an old leather couch that was extremely cracked and old. Overall, it was shocking to see it be in such bad shape. It made me want to leave but I wouldn't have been able to get a refund. The elevator was old and the building didn't look like it had been updated in forever.

Room smelled like chemical cleaner and was very run down. Shower tub was stained. There was electrical tape on the faucet in the bathroom to cover a faulty faucet. Had to cut the stay short.

Dangerous dirty and not at all acceptable to stay with a child. The room was unkempt, ripped curtains and dirty.

The bed was quite comfortable.
The hotel was shabby. Pieces of flooring in our room had broken off. The toilet flooded the bathroom overnight.

The front desk reception was nice enough. The maids were kind.
They make you put 100 dollars down cash only on the deposit. They took 45 dollars at check out cause one of the towels was "too dirty". The shower had mold growing on the top of it. Carpets were nasty. The elevator felt like it could break at any moment. I mean, fork over the extra 100 and get yourself a better hotel. This place is not worth it.

I found my room to be comfortable for the value.
Could use a little attention. Heater curtain. Otherwise, good.

Everything was dirty. Nothing was working inside the room. The only working thing was the heater. Everything was dirty and dusty. I am not even sure if the bed sheets and towels were washed. I couldn’t open the door to my room with the card. At 8am they started doing construction downstairs with lots of load bangs

They wouldn’t give me a room because I didn’t have $100.00 cash. I asked for a refund and the agent says to go to the internet. Why wasn’t I told about the $ 100.00 cash needed?
