The Grandness of the hotel. Every detail. Staff sone were very nice and some not so informative. Dora in the Laurel Cafe was very kind and went above and beyond.

Beautiful marble through the entrance hallways & walkways. Beautiful gardens outside and everything very clean and impressive inside the hotel.

the room was superb as well as the bathroom, we loved the pool and had a nice dinner at the restaurant (although the service could have been better (my partner had to get up and get a spoon for his soup, after we asked twice and no one brought one. By then the soup was cold).
we were there the night a fire broke out in a nearby building. We could smell smoke but when we called reception, no one was picking up the phone to answer. We ended up going down to enquire. It would have been best to issue a message to all voicemails to share the circumstances and explain that the fire was not in the hotel and that we were safe.
We walked from the hotel to Temple Square during the early afternoon. Lots of homeless, people who appeared to be on drugs, we didn't feel safe - although we are quite used to walking the world .

The beds were HORRIBLE. The toilet seat was broken. I feel like we must have gotten a bad room.
