The hotel was beautiful and gave grandiose feeling which was absolutely perfect for the occasion.
The AC in the room was below standard and the room was uncomfortable hot and stuffy.

The building itself is gorgeous and in a decent area.
The rooms are very outdated and it actually takes away from the beauty of the building. Simple updates could bring this property to more higher heights

Good value for the price and convenient location, just blocks away from the DART rail and adjacent to AT&T Discovery Center. Simple and clean room. Spacious living area and full kitchen were included. The rate was much more competitive compared to other downtown hotels nearby.
Limited hotel amenities (no pool or active lounge / bar area). The windows are poorly insulated and street noise travels up to the rooms at night, even to the eighth door where I stayed. Broken bathroom components (floor tiles, old grout, shower head) are in need of replacing. The room needed additional lighting to accommodate the dark-toned paint and carpet.

Disappointing
The historic room concept could be charming if they weren't looking so haggard and in need of restoration. The bathroom was neither historic nor modern. It was simply outdated... my guess is it had been remodeled in the early 80s but not updated since. The tiling and tub looked dirty. And the bath faucet dripped constantly after using the shower... which was a nuisance. Inside the bed room, the dark wood panelin had visible water damage in multiple places. The wood was delaminating in places where it looked like there had been leaks. And the historic windows were so cloudy you could not clearly see out of them.
