I stayed at Fairmont Dallas for my birthday and WOW. What started as a basic king room turned into a surprise suite upgrade thanks to the sweetest front office manage, Bui. He noticed it was my birthday, upgraded us, and even sent up a card + champagne. ? Bui, next time 24-27 floor gold experience ??
The suite? Huge. Elegant. That antique, old-money, generational wealth type of luxury. Some may call it “dated” — I call it timeless. It’s giving grand fathers money vibes. You can literally smell money ? in the air.
Every single person was kind — valet, housekeeping, everyone. Starbucks downstairs was clutch. Being right in the Arts District (literally across from the museum) made it feel cultured and upscale.
I’d give it 10 stars if I could. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Only tiny cons:
• Food was a little pricey
• Restaurants closed around 10 PM (no late-night snacks)
• Shower took a minute to get to my “lava hot” preference (my husband said it was perfect ?)
None of that changed the experience. If you want to feel rich, bougie, and spoiled on a budget in Dallas — this is your spot.

Concierge was excellent, Room was clean and quiet, not to far of a walk. Experience was great will go back for sure. Bed was comfortable, shower was clean.
No parking you kind of have to valet. Really no complaints. All of staff was friendly and helpful. Valet was helpful as well. should go if you can.

Very clean and classy. The check in was easy and the property was nice enough to upgrade me and my wife for Valentines Day. It was a nice surprise. Room service was fast and tasty.

Most of the furniture and wallpapers in the rooms were outdated, cracked/ripped at the corners. The hotel is nice and clean, but they need to redo the bathrooms and change the furniture soon.

There was no hot water. The bathrooms need a serious update. The main issue is the value, this was a 200+ a night hotel with cold water :/. Someone from the staff knocked on my door at 7:30am and woke me up to ask if i wanted cleaning

There was no microwave. The refrigerator had to be brought up. There were no extra bags for trash. There was no bag for dirty laundry. Tv was difficult to navigate and manage. Quite frustrating frankly.

The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating, the housekeeping staff are very nice and work with smiles. The concierge at the front was very scary and intimidating but he was cordial and helped us to where we needed to go. The pool is very nice but very busy. There is a fully featured Starbucks in the lobby so the morning was great.
The Fairmont hotel is showing its age. We stayed on the 23rd floor of the South Tower. Four hours after checking in, we decided to head out for local Dallas cuisine. Only one elevator was working, and when we pressed the button, nothing happened. We waited, tried again, still nothing. After calling the concierge, they assured us the elevators were working. We tried again, and one finally came—but the doors kept getting stuck. This was just the beginning.
After dinner, we had the same issue—waiting 20 minutes, with the elevator doors sticking again. Back in our room, we found the sink and bathtub backing up with dirty black water, leaving a nasty grime despite housekeeping having just cleaned. Photos attached.
The next morning, the elevators had completely stopped working. After calling the concierge again, we were told to take the stairs—so we walked down all 23 floors. Annoying, but manageable.
When we returned five hours later, the elevators were still down. The lobby was filled with guests and luggage. Staff told us there was no ETA on repairs, and we’d have to walk up. So we climbed 23 floors again, passed upset guests, grabbed our 50+ lbs of luggage, and walked all the way back down to check out.
We reported the black water issue, but staff seemed dismissive—though they were polite. They offered to "upgrade" us to a cheaper room in the north tower, but at that point, the experience had already been disappointing.
