It is well located with excellent beach access. The room was quiet at night.
The room furnishings and televisions need updating. The wall bed mattress was covered with mold.

The property itself is gorgeous in the rooms. Huge for a good price in the off season
but the security is so trash. A man who was not staying in the hotel that I rejected tried to force himself into the hotel and followed me to my room while I was running and shouting through the hotel, even in the parking garage and all around and nobody helped. I was then outside of the on the last day of my trip wear a drunk man at 10 AM threatened to sexually assault me and I tried to retreat to the hotel and once again no help from anybody not even the police. Keep your guard up in this whole city and don’t expect anybody to help you even if this place does say that they are secure.

The room and the location at the beach.
I was there celebrating my birthday. I walked into a kitchen with water on the floor and sprung my ankle the first night. I called and email the property and no response. I could not celebrate as planned the refrigerator did not start close. I’m assuming that’s where the water came from. We had to use something to make it stay closed.

Disappointing
We loved the view and the pools. The housekeeping lady was great. She came and collected the dirty towels and gave us plenty fresh ones and she took the trash.
The whole time we were there the air conditioning kept quitting and it was leaking so we had to constantly scoop water with a cup every couple of hours to get it to come back on. Maintenance came out once and that was it. We asked for it to be fixed but no one came to do it. It was very aggravating. We told the staff and they acted like they didn’t want to hear it. The garbage bags were so thin that the trash kept tearing. The hot tubs also kept quitting and the lazy river had trash in it early when it first opened in the morning and staff was just then trying to clean it. The previous two years were great. But this year management and staff was lazy and didn’t seem to care that things were falling apart. The room we stayed in also needed an upgrade badly. All the appliances were rusting and quitting.

Location was okay; that’s about it.
Staff were uncaring; hotel property and room was dirty and tired; having to pay $12 per day for room housekeeping when all they did was remove used towels and throw clean ones in bathroom was a joke.

No bedding for pull out bed, couch dirty, carpet dirty with stains, furniture had oily stains, no paper product for kitchen, refrigerator rusty, bathroom towels were kid size towels, no hair dryer , no soap or lotion products, slow water output in shower, lukewarm water from bathroom sink, no floor mat, parking garage area too small, no mirror to show oncoming traffic. Garage is accident prone.

The older couple that manage the property were amazing! We are from Missouri and were towing motorcycles we had just bought in SC and they worked to accommodate parking for us.
Pools could have been a little cleaner. An extra blanket in room would be nice especially since the office is in another building. Also lamps with USB are a MUST these days.

The location was great ! Staff was wonderful. Beds comfortable and clean as was bathroom. Staff checked the room daily for trash and linens. Amenities were as described and fun for the kiddos. Beach access was great. They were re-nourishing the beach but even with that a short walk to either side of the resort by 3 min and we had full access. Pools were clean and maintained. Parking was great with a secure parking deck. Room had washer and dryer which made easier with all the beach and pool trips for laundry.
The kitchen area was not the cleanest it could be which accounts for the pest issues we encountered. I have lived near water and know sometimes bugs can’t be helped but having stove and fridge areas cleaner would certainly help. A/C unit could use some attention in the bedroom area. Having remotes for TVs that actually work with the Tv appropriately would be nice too. Over all it needs a thorough maintenance over haul just to fix things that matter like the loose toilet and garbage disposal.
