The ocean and the hot heat
We had the room next to us construction all week it was so loud we couldn't enjoy our stay. Shouldn't put people right next to rooms that ate getting worked on. Plus we had to walk over plastic and paper they laid on the floor. Really not a good thing for business

Great location to the beach. The pools are really nice and the timing is perfect being 8:30a to 10:30pm. Especially great for the kids. I liked the beach towel service Everything you need is on property you really don’t need to leave. The staff especially at breakfast and at the bar are exceptional. Good hot breakfast and the coffee was good.
The cleanliness and it’s a little outdated. The carpets in the room definitely need a good cleaning. I asked the front desk one morning if they could have someone vacuum since they only take out garbage and change towels daily, the response was that they need 24 hour notice. The vacuuming was not done which was disappointing.

It had very good location
That the pool & spa closed at 10:30pm. And the parking deck closest to the Suites building going to level one has a huge incline and my bottom of my car scraped very badly going up to level 2 and coming down. Not good for regular cars

I like the convenience to the shoreline.The beach as well as to US 17 for entertainment
The air conditioner did not work consistently. The room stayed hot all day and all night. The bed was only partially made in that it did not have a blanket. There was just a sheet and a topper on the bed. 1pillow and an extra empty pillowcase.The bed felt like it was not properly made and did not sleep comfortably...

We were right on the ocean. Beautiful view. Easy access to everything
Only thing I had an issue with was our room smelled like burnt popcorn from previous guest. Our fridge wasn’t clean and the sink water smelled like sewer when you run the water and it was clogged.

This is the 4th time I’ve stayed at the Dayton House and it’s always been a wonderful experience. The rooms are always clean and I love the outdoor bar and multiple pools/hot tubs. The complimentary breakfast you get with your stay is always amazing too with lots of food options to start your day off right. Staff is always helpful and quick to get you what you need. I love the location of the hotel as it’s short walking/driving distance to so many of the different things to do at Myrtle. Also love that it’s such a short walk down to the beach from the hotel. Couldn’t love this place more.

The room size was nice. The beds were fairly comfortable. I liked having a kitchenette and being ocean front. Very good view.
When we arrived there were ants crawling on the kitchen cabinets. I notified the front desk and they did send someone to take care of it. No one offered the key to the safe so once we got to the room and saw it needed a key we had to go back down to pick one up.

I like the location. We were right off the beach.
You can tell that it is older. The carpet was moist when we first got there there was brown tape around the back of the toilet. The sink was not clean. It did not feel very clean in there. The AC unit was loud and we were right by the elevator so you could hear everything and everyone definitely did not give me resort or relaxation vibes. For the price, I was not pleased at all. they also had the wrong name on my TV
