The two tv's did not work. I was locked out of my room for 3 hours. My phone was in my locked room. Had to use the phone at the desk to call vacation. Couldn't hear on the phone. Had to call 3times. For what I paid I felt I got robbed.

We knew nothing about breakfast, made our own in room. The location was excellent, enjoyed every day spent there. Wish we had a complimentary fourth night stay free.

The door code wouldn’t work. Every time we would leave the room we have to call customer service to let us in because the code wouldn’t work. The microwave kept falling apart and the tv didn’t have any channels so we couldn’t watch tv and just chill in the room.

My family and I recently stayed at Camelot in Myrtle Beach for a week, and unfortunately this was one of the most disappointing experiences we have had in over 20 years of visiting Myrtle Beach annually before my birthday.
First, this was not a standard hotel room but an apartment-style unit, and upon arrival we immediately noticed trash still left in the unit from previous occupants. That alone gave a very poor first impression.
The furniture was extremely uncomfortable and very outdated. The balcony curtains looked old, worn, and smelled heavily like cigarette smoke. The odor throughout the apartment was so unpleasant that I had to purchase air freshener spray just to constantly spray the unit during our stay.
One of the biggest issues was the bug problem. Seeing roaches in the apartment was beyond frustrating and completely unacceptable. Whoever owns this unit seriously needs to have the property professionally treated and maintained. I am now concerned about having to carefully inspect all of my luggage when I return home because I absolutely do not want to bring anything back with me.
The ironing board was also in terrible condition. The cover was barely attached, and we literally had to hold it in place by hand just to iron clothes.
Another major disappointment was the lack of a washer and dryer inside the unit. We have stayed in Myrtle Beach for over two decades and have never had to carry dirty clothes downstairs to wash them elsewhere. Every other place we have stayed provided an in-unit washer and dryer, so this was very inconvenient and unexpected.
Honestly, had I been able to get my money back, I would have left and booked another hotel immediately. Unfortunately, we had to endure the entire week disappointed.
This was my first time choosing Camelot, and sadly it will also be my last. The unit desperately needs upgrades, deep cleaning, pest control, and overall better maintenance.

Took 2 days for the maintenance guy to come fix the patio door that was stuck open. The 2 bedrooms were freezing cold at night but the master bedroom stayed super hot. Couldnt balance the temperature out

The view was nice. Room was clean.
Couldnt get the lock to work. Keypad had stuck numbers. Couldnt get into our room fir the first 2 hours of our vacation. Had to wait on maintenance to come so missed our dinner reservations with other family and friends visiting. Maintenance man could not fix door keypad so advised us to use a pencil with a flat eraser on it to punch in code which might help with sticking numbers! Had a 10 digit pin number to get in, instead of a 4 digit like most places making it more dificult! Each time we re-entered room, took several times to get it open. Once we got in, beds were worn out and hard. Had to put pillows under the fitted sheet to fill in the dips in the mattress. Soap dispenser in shower was empty, others were low. Not a safe feeling environment. Loud music coming from other rooms all night. Pool area full of people running, and when security guard asked them to stop, people said no, and he did nothing to stop them from running and throwing things, almost hitting us several times. Felt like an unsafe environment. Absolutely no reason we should have had to wait 2 hours to get into our room. Contacted everyone listed and no one could help until maintenance arrived. Even he couldnt get in our room without trying several times. Will not be using booking again, or vacasa since the messages i got were from them too. Started my vacation off wrong! Was going to request staying 2 extra nights, but after that room, I went home! Definitely do not recommend this rundown hotel, or booking or vacasa. Do better!
