The night manager, Jan, was fantastic. Welcoming and very helpful.
The room was warm. Yes it is winter, but it was hard to cook it down for sleeping. Also, the sheets weren't cotton, and we didn't like the comforter fabric.

The staff was terrific. Very friendly and helpful. The cleanliness in the room felt above average, despite the building itself being quite old. Many of the fixtures (countertops, bathroom faucets) seemed new.
Breakfast was nothing, and the lighting in the rooms was uninviting.

Charlotte that worked the front desk was always smiling and very helpful. We were traveling with an 11 month old and needed a high chair seat for the dining area. She was right on it and spoke with the kitchen personnel and found one that we used both mornings we were there. All of our interactions with Charlotte were nice. She was genuinely a kind person!
An ibuprofen was left on the floor in my son's room and we were lucky the 11 month old did not find it. They did switch rooms for them just to be on the safe side so it all worked out.

I think the Hawthorne needs to get a new first shift manager. She’s not willing to help people get checked in. She’s not polite. She’s rude and pretentious. I have stayed way nicer way worse hotels, but the attitude of the management at the Hawthorne on Rome Hill Road on first shift was absolutely ridiculous and it made my stay very uncomfortable and I couldn’t communicate with the staff because of it.
I like the fact that it had a hot tub and a pool other than that it sucked

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a full kitchen. I also liked the pool, that they had a children’s play area, was pet friendly and central.

The location was great, there were many food options in the area. It easy to get on the highway from the location as well. The room was clean and was very nice. The staff during check in and check out were very nice as well very welcoming and made the whole process seem less.
