Great location, great rooms, very well-decorated. Very cozy and relaxing atmosphere. I think the boarding-like setup is fun. You can step right outside and cross the street to sit down and view the city skyline.
There wasn't any soap in the bathroom, or the soap pump wasn't working properly. This was only slightly inconvenient though since we brought our own cleaning supplies and only stayed one night.

The host, Mo, was super friendly and very helpful. The victorian property is a bit dated, but this adds to the charm, check the gorgeous antique style radiators and the architecture of the property, awesome. Small park next door, and the B&B overlooks the harbour. It is a very quiet neighbourhood. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great. The entire property is spotlessly clean. Considering the high price of hotels in this area, the comparative low room price of Harbor House B&B, the breakfast was excellent,,,, Quality coffee, tea, juice, cereals, fruit, yoghurt, cereal bars, cheese, croissant, English muffins, sweet muffins, and of course butter, jam & peanut butter. Lots of onstreet parking available.
I never had to wait for the shared bathroom. No noise from other guests. Wi fi was good. 100% will stay here again.
Bedside lights did not work.

Price and location - proximity to Staten Island Ferry. Comfy room, continental breakfast, and free available parking.
It would be nice to have some protein options for breakfast. It would be helpful to have hand towels and washcloths available.

I enjoyed my stay here. It's a nice place in a nice area. Everything I needed to get was close by.
I would definitely like to visit again.
The only thing I didn't like was that I wasn't offered any food or coffee the 3 days I spent there, but I probably should've asked.

This hotel has a great view of the Manhattan skyline. It was wonderful to catch the (free) Staten Island ferry to Manhattan each day. We had a big bedroom with a very comfortable king size bed. The host was very friendly but discrete, giving out useful information.
It is just a pity it wasn't an ensuite bathroom (but we knew that when booking) and it wasn't a bit closer to the ferry terminal (a bus ride away, approx 15 minutes on the S51).

Close to the things we were doing.
The building was old and very cold. Had a thin blanket on the bed. Called and got an answering machine. Requested extra blankets that never came. We each got one thin towel. That was never changed out.

The location was superb, the view from the front room was spectacular and in a quick walk you have access to great food options, bodegas and a nice locals bakery. The host was a delight, truly helpful, friendly and professional, and the space had an old charm. Very comfortable bed and cozy accomodations.
Though charming, the space is an older building. This is not at all a deal breaker, just a heads up. It wasn't something I didn't like, again just be aware it's not a newly renovated situation.

Loved the comfort of staying close to the Alice Austen house, a lovely diner, coffee shop and bakery right on Bay Street. A quick Uber ride to the ferry for day trips into Manhattan. An authentic NYC experience, all off the convenience of staying with your Staten Island "family". The views out of the bedroom, seeing the Verrazano bridge, Statue of Liberty and the ships was awe inspiring.

I liked the location a lot.
Having the view of the Staten Island Bridge and Manhattan all night.
Rhe room was really warm.
The room was very small, there weren't any facilities like slippers or shampoo.
It wasn't really comfy moving around.
There wasn't any small table if u want to eat sth in room.
