Poor
I liked the breakfast inclusion, and the location in proximity of Wagner College
The Desk manager and assistant were clearly put out that we were expecting a true Hotel Suite and opted for two separate rooms. Which is what the booking site had in their ad. This is deceptive and dishonest and should be addressed.
A typical suite is a larger, more luxurious accommodation within a hotel that includes a separate living area and one or more bedrooms, providing a home-like layout.
The Suite we were expected to stay in was no more than an oversized room with none of the features one expects from a true hotel suite.

Someone near my room a guest must have been smoking in their room and the smell cigarette smoke was in the hallway and my room.

Wonderful
Bed was fine. I roam at night, so the small pull out couch was not a good second sleeping option. An extra blanket in the room considering there is a second bed would have been good.
The 'bums' sleeping in the lobby and inviting themselves to breakfast was interesting.
Other clientele were VERY interesting. But nothing you can do about that!!
Most everything

Very Good
The location is good, but the menu is not complete.
The breakfast, not all guests eat pork, but I found out they only make pork sausage. No turkey or chicken sausage. They need to improve on that.thanks

Good
The room was large, clean, and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was spotless. There was breakfast offered, but we left too early to try it. Plenty of parking outside that was free (a huge win in NY). A good location to stay at if you are travelling to JFK and don't want to pay the JFK hotel prices - this was a fraction of the cost.
You're right next to the highway and although the view of The Verrazzano Bridge was nice, it did get a little loud at times.

Very Good
The hotel is quite modern and interestingly decorated, with a horse-stable theme because of its location on a former horse farm. The staff is unusually helpful, friendly, and professional. Even the parking lot looks pretty nice, with some pleasant seating areas in front of the building and good landscaping.
We liked that there was a free breakfast, and the food was plentiful, but it was very crowded at breakfast and the food was not the best, plus it was all served on disposable plates with disposable utensils. This is a nice hotel with a well-appointed lobby dining room — the nice atmosphere should be matched with sustainability. We hope they switch to ceramic dishes and metal utensils, and upgrade the food offerings.

Pleasant
It was quiet. I was able to get the rest I needed.
The room had a steal smell to it. The curtain rod in bathroom was not placed correctly so the curtain was unable to stay shut while showering. The pillows were too soft. The iron used to iron my clothes were leaving gray spots on my white shirt. The linen needs to use better smelling detergents. There just is nothing pleasant about the smell when you walk into a room or lay down to sleep. Its been that way for so long that I bring my own pillow case and sheets to lay on each visit. I also bring cleaning products to wipe down the room so I can feel better about my stay.
