This was a spacious room with a good bathroom, a large bed with excellent bed linen. It was impeccably clean.
Despite being a very good room, as an airport hotel it fell significantly short in several ways. We were staying following a 10-hour flight from Rome and prior to an 18-hour flight to New Zealand, so sleep was key. The aircon unit was very noisy and ran to a thermostat. On the upside, when it was running, it drowned out the traffic and city noise that went all night. We had a midday checkout, but housekeeping knocked on the door around 8am. We put a 'do not disturb' sign on the door at that point, but they knocked again about an hour and a half later. The hotel is a shuttle ride from JFK airport, but you have to get the Airtrain to the shuttle stop and shuttles run every half hour. No shelter and brewing snow meant a long cold wait. Our outgoing flight didn't leave until evening, but the hotel does not store luggage. We had to go back to the airport via shuttle and Airtrain and pay $50USD to leave a couple of bags for a few hours. Free wifi was only available to club members, which is ridiculous for an international airport hotel.

Did not like the fact that there was only valet parking. Also the sliding bathroom door in the shower kept sliding open while taking a shower. Furthermore, the conditioner bottle was empty.

The information on the hotel had to be down loaded which didn’t included information on that particular hotel. Ie restaurant information didn’t work at all. The phone in the room did not work or the microwave.

Room was very nice, Lotion provide in the bathrooms, check in was nice they offered cookies to welcome us.
Price, I didn't, like, Location was complicated. road work, street was in an odd spot. construction closed the street getting there. no parking. Paid Parking at the hotel. No free breakfast for that price. a cheaper hotel $100.00 cheaper offered a free excellent breakfast. You pay more for a nicer place and get less.

I did not eat breakfast. The location was great.
We waited for over an hour for the shuttle to show only to be told they would send a car for us, which also never showed. I understand there was construction in process. However, the hotel should have made more shuttles available once we got to the hotel. There were several shuttles sitting in the parking lot. We did not take the shuttle the following morning because the line was too long. This was a total inconvenience to us.

Beautiful hotel and rooms; great location when coming from JFK; nice shuttle service; accommodating staff
1/3/26 I stayed at the DoubleTree. We arrived late and exhausted.
The heating system made so much noise we could not rest. We felt that because of the late hour we would not be able to get assistance.
Also: conditioner empty

It was convenient to the airport, the shuttle bus was easy to find and we did not wait long for our collection. The room was comfortable and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The meal we had on site was not the best, considering the price we paid, service was a little slow. The shuttle bus in the morning was convenient but they dropped us some way from terminal building. The walk with our luggage through the arrivals line was not the best.
