Hotel was grand - overpriced for what you get, but that is New York! With very limited choices around JFK airport, it was the best choice to book.
Overall happy with stay.
Bartender was excellent, she was very helpful, and was able to provide some recommendations on restaurant to eat that evening.
Coffee machine did not work in room.

The check in system wasn’t working so we were not issued a key card for our room. With this said, the staff were really good escorting us to our room when needed.

The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, which made for a pleasant stay. I appreciated the convenience of having a shuttle service that picks you up at the airport in a designated area.
The wait time for the shuttle from the airport to the hotel was extremely long—about 45 minutes after I called, which was frustrating. However, the shuttle back to the airport ran smoothly and on time. The room itself was clean and comfortable.

Stephanie, Desk Manager was very rude & petty.
See Picture of Manager on duty..very unapproachable. A traveler in our group needed a gluten free sandwich, she ordered from Panera door dash and all of us, ate in dining room & ordered from the hotel restaurant menu. Stephanie insisted our gluten free traveler couldn't eat with us, had to eat on couch since ordered from delivery. This person bought a drink and dessert from the menu . Stephanie represents the Marriott with petty behavior for a hospitality manager. Look at her in picture attached, no smile, not asking guests to come forward or how she can help them !!!

Best thing is the location to be close to the airport in case you have a super early flight.
The staff is also super nice and helpful. Bed and pillows super nice. And the free shuttle to the airport works very well.
Absolutely not worth the money you pay for it. For the same amount you can even get better hotels in Manhattan. Also the cleaning standards should improve, I found hair all over the bathtub and bathroom floor.
Apart from this, the rest is all okay.

The shuttle was reliable and the hotel is in quite a good location to get to JFK.
Quite a big TV in the room and the temperature was nice.
The shower was quite nice and there were quite a few complimentary toiletries.
Good sized fridge with a microwave too. There was also an iron and ironing board.
The quality of towels were quite poor. They were extremely thin and worn, they looked slightly off white due to age, this affected their appearance and made them look unclean.
The service at reception/check-in could have been better. There were two ladies checking me in and it appeared their personalities clashed a bit. It made checking-in a bit awkward.
The ladies working in the bar/restaurant, although fairly friendly, gave the impression that they did not want to be at work. It also felt like they didn't get on great together either.
The free Wifi was quite temperamental and kept disconnecting which was not ideal as I was unable to use 4G/5G or data.
While waiting for the shuttle service to JFK in the early hours of the morning, there were many members of airport staff also waiting for the shuttle bus. When the bus arrived, it became a "free-for-all" and a bit of a pushing and shoving match so everyone could get on the bus. I found this quite uncomfortable and some sort of queuing system would have been beneficial. I understand, having worked in an airport, how it is important to arrive at work in good time but it felt as if tourists (me and others on vacation) were less important and that airport staff had the right to get on the bus first.
The first thing I noticed when entering my room was the dirty windows (on the outside). This took away from the atmosphere and feel of the hotel. I feel like the dirty windows let the appearance down.
