Great location.
Rooms have ok size for a NYC hotel
No sound proofing of rooms.
You will hear everything that happens around you in the corridor, other rooms, bathrooms etc which will not provide for a comfortable stay.

This is a beautiful well-kept hotel in a great location. I stay here when I attend the US Open which hasn't been since 2019. I am pleased to note that the quality of this Westin remained exceptional despite my six year absence from it. Everything about it is great from the staff to the facilities. On my last day the down escalator wasn't working when I went out to get breakfast, but to my surprise it was already fixed when I returned 15 minutes later.

The lobby and bar were nice, bedroom felt like it needed updating. Bathroom had very shallow bath and shower couldn’t isolate between hand held and overhead.
The reception staff were not welcoming. Bedroom needed a deep clean. Unable to make tea in the room, no kettle, milk or sugar.

We really enjoyed the breakfast -lots of variety but after eating there two mornings decided to eat elsewhere because the breakfast was expensive
Lighting in bathroom could be brighter.
Also, I wish the room would have had a keurig and podsto easily have coffee early mornings without leaving your room

We asked for 2 connecting rooms since traveling with kids. When we arrived, we were told that the only connecting rooms are on "9th floor". The 9th floor looks like utility floor. Rooms are tiny and aged. In addition, the view from both windows was blocked by a wall, literally 5 ft away ! Some sort of technical structure of the same hotel. This was our kids' first visit to NYC and they were hugely disappointed :(
Manager and staff were not responsive to my requests to change rooms. There was no attempt to accommodate the request, I attempted several times, and at the end gave up. I guess we will have to revisit NYC with a better hotel.

The room was beautiful and clean; location was great and a great view from the room; hotel was beautiful and the ladies at the front desk were lovely and incredibly helpful and kind.
Beds were a bit small for 2 people in a luxury hotel. No free WiFi (in every hotel I've ever stayed at, no matter how cheap or luxurious, they've ALWAYS had free wifi). And had a nasty experience with the bellman - we left our luggage on our final day, the bellman who put it away was very kind, but when we got back to pick up our luggage, a different bellman assisted us, who was late, which made us anxious as we had a train to catch, and then when we didn't tip him (as, to be fair, all he'd done is pull our suitcases out of ajoining room, which took all of 30 seconds), he started loudly complaining to the entire lobby that he'd been stiffed. I know I'm a Brit and not used to American tipping culture but surely that's too far?

Dear Madams, Sirs !
Yes, we stayed last week at yr WESTIN at TIMES SQUARE/NY.
We did like the hotel, otherwise, very much, but, something happened that kindly spoiled our holiday.
I explain:
We did the booking at BOOKING.COM.
We paid everything to them and it mentioned TOTAL to be paid: .....
Unfortunately, when we made check in at the hotel, the recepcionist, a certain GERALDINE informed us that we had a voucher of 20 USD to spend at the bar, for instance... indeed we liked it and were happy.
Much to our disappointment and surprise, while checking out, there was a DESTINATION FEE on the amount of 80 USD that yr staff said it s mandatory. I said we can t pay for something we were not informed about at BOOKING.COM nor at the hotel during check-in. They just said that everybody else pays for it, that it s not your fault, that it s BOOKING.COM s fault !?... We talked to the manager in duty, JORGE and also later on asked to talk to the director, an afro-american lady whose name I cannot recall and she just told the same thing.
Therefore, this was a very bad stain in our trip and thus we could never recommend your hotel to people due to the fact I told your staff we feel »screwed» (pls forgive my language) and that s not honest to charge for something without prior notice nor information.
That said, I told the director I d escalate it (she said the same) and would write to you.
I hope you could agree with us and proceed to credit our credit card for that amount as it just does not feel right.
