Amenities that were advertised on the booking page were unavailable: the elevator was broken during my entire stay; the outdoor area, lobby bar, 24-hour security, and meeting room were closed/unavailable. There were holes in the bedsheet and impossible to get towels. The front desk manager also came into our room during our stay without consent or proper cause. They also violated my ADA rights even though they claim to ADA compliant facility. We faced many challenges during our stay but most of which was your argumentative and elusive staff who insisted on being right instead of problem-solving. For a hotel that claims to have "facilities for disabled guests", this experience has been extremely challenging and not accommodating for my disability. I had my intelligence and dignity challenged during every single conversation and was deceived at every opportunity.

Great location.
room was big enough.
The personel was nice but a bit 'unprofessional', playing their own music loudly at the reception.
Rooms are outdated, need renovation.
Visitors elevator didnt work so we had to take the technical elevator which created waiting lines for the simple use of the elevator.

Poor
the ONLY good thing about this hotel is the location.
beds are comfy but that is a given at any hotel room, if you cant even nail that - dont bother opening a hotel.
A few things a 4 star hotel should have that this hotel DID NOT have:
- WORKING ELEVATORS
I read reviews from over 4(!!) months ago that elevators were broken and that the only available elevator was the service elevator. Such was still the case in when we went in mid April. This despite them claiming it's fixed when answering reviews about it.
- A GLASS
There was an ice bucket in the room but no glasses. When I called the reception to ask for a glass, they said they do not provide any food and beverage and therefore they could not provide us a single glass to drink our wine in.
- CLEAN, WHOLE ROOMS
Dust everywhere, broken door frames, cracks in the walls/corners, shower floor cracked. This hotel is OUTDATED.
- PROPER AIR CONDITIONING
I've traveled in various ways in South East Asia and I have never heard a louder air conditioner than the one at this hotel. Had to be turned off when you were in the room, absolutely obnoxious.
- COMMUNICATION
As we saw not all rooms had fridges, we tried to get in touch with the hotel as one of us has medication that needs to be kept in the fridge. We tried messaging through Booking, emailing them to their own email as well as trying to CALL a number which did not work. There was another number that you could call but it was only to make reservations, they were very clear with that you cannot call this number for help with existing reservations.
- A CLEAN, WORKING FRIDGE
We luckily got a room with a fridge but this was tattered, old, not very cold and it was hidden behind a cupboard that had a broken hinge which is EASY to fix but simply neglected.
These are fundamental things to be expected when staying at an alleged FOUR STAR hotel. Not even a glass could be provided. I can't believe we paid $1000 to stay here for 4 nights, absolute waste of money. Really, really sad about this part of our trip. Heed this warning if you are about to make the same mistake we did.

Location access for 5 Boro Bike ride
False advertisement for hotel experience. Arrived to find out elevator system out for room access. We were told to use the service elevator with the staff that was trying to work. Before leaving the service elevator stopped working as well. We were told by hotel staff the elevator had been out for 3 months. If so, guests should have been notified so they could plan accordingly. Advertise hotel bar/lounge, that area is closed off with no access.

Location
Dirty and somewhat abandoned. The room was dusty and not properly cleaned . All elevators were out of service , leaving only the Service Elevator for all hotel guests , resulting into taking me even 25 mins to get up to my room. My room had no towels when I arrived , and reception said I might get them after 7pm . There were no toiletries , and no one ever brought any, ever. Reception said that management decided not to buy toiletries …… Keep in mind that this is supposed to be a 4 star hotel. Reception staff was in general a bit rude and firm , which should be the opposite , given the fact they knew what a total flop this whole experience is. Stay away !

Good
Very good location, godd quality for price. Comfortable bed
Accessibility of the room. The reception is on the 5th floor. There are 3 lifts, but works one- it’s OK by this point. But: the rooms are from the 6th to the 30th floor. There are also 3 lifts, but they are under maintenance momently, so the complete hotel with approx 200 rooms uses one service lift.

Great location, close to subway station and path station
elevator malfunctions (only service elevator was in service), poor hotel conditions, and disruptions caused by the cleaning staff, multiple mails to facilitators/ owner after our stay (asking for refund) stayed unanswered

Very Poor
I stayed at The Washington by LuxUrban for 11 days during my vacation in New York City, and unfortunately, it was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.
Elevators out of service for 11 days: Throughout my entire stay, the main elevators were completely out of order. All guests – along with hotel staff – were forced to use a single, small service elevator. This caused long waits of up to 15–20 minutes just to get to our room. The elevator often had a foul odor, and one night it even smelled like urine. On every floor, cleaning equipment, laundry carts, and sheets were left lying around in full view, with linen stacked openly on shelves.
Poor room cleanliness: The floor in our room clearly hadn’t been cleaned before we arrived and was only vacuumed on the 4th or 5th day of our stay. Our bed sheets were never changed – not once during our entire 11-night stay. This is something I’ve never encountered at any hotel. We had to leave handwritten notes for housekeeping just to get fresh towels every few days.
Bathroom lacked basic amenities: The bathroom contained only a single mini bar of soap and one bottle of conditioner – for two people. No shower gel, no separate shampoo, and no replacements. After two days, we had to buy our own soap and shower gel from Target.
Unhelpful reception staff: The front desk staff was indifferent at best. Questions were often met with annoyed looks or vague responses – usually only after repeating the same request two or three times.
I’m not writing this review simply to criticize the hotel, but to inform future guests about the kind of experience they should realistically expect. As a marketing professional, I’m fully aware that any reply from the hotel will likely be a generic “Thank you for your feedback, we will strive to improve” response. But let me be clear: if delivering quality service isn’t part of a business’s core values, no amount of feedback will change that – it’s just not in their DNA.

Location
Everything else. Shabby. dilapidated gym facilities, but the worst feature was the state of the only working lift to our room. All the standard lifts from reception were out of order and evidently had been for months, and the one service lift was heavily used by guests and cleaning staff and was grotesquely inadequate for the job: it could take up to thirty minutes to get out of the hotel.

Nothing
This hotel is a safety hazard (anyone can come and go - I had someone trying to get into my room at 2 AM)
This hotel is not functioning properly (there is one single elevator for all 30 floors for guests and staff to share. One single elevator - not a bank of elevators, one service elevator)
This hotel assigns you to rooms that are not operational (AC broken, telephone disconnected, half the lights do not work, shades are ripped and torn, linens are sparse and thread bare)

there is only 1 (!!) elevator, which later needs to be changed to another one. Very inconvenient, especially in the morning when lots of people need to get in or out of the hotel...
