Perfect location for us in the East Village. Friendly staff, great hotel bars and vibe. The comfiest bed. Nice size bathroom with shower and bath. Floor to ceiling windows with views over the streets below. Close to coffee shops, restaurants, dive bars, subway and St Marks Yoga!

Cheery, bright and clean the hotel has a trendy vibe yet is super comfortable. We were there for a nearby wedding on the coldest weekend of the year and we were glad there were good restaurants there so we didn't have to leave. Lee at the front desk was friendly and helpful and the restaurant staff was too!

I stayed on the 17th floor and the views were incredible. The room was perfect for one person, and could comfortably accommodate a second, although the wardrobe space is somewhat limited. Breakfast is served à la carte, which was a nice touch (not included in the price of the room), and the bar is excellent.

I stayed at The Standard, East Village for two weeks in January. They kindly upgraded me to one of their suites at a discounted rate, which I greatly appreciated. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, the staff were exceptionally friendly and made me feel truly welcome.
The suite offered a wonderful view and plenty of space, with two cozy rooms. I could tell the hotel team works well together and has great camaraderie. I was pleasantly surprised that the doorman, Dom, even remembered my name.
The Cuna restaurant downstairs was another highlight. It serves delicious Mexican food, and the service was excellent

The hotel is located near subway stations.
Daily we were given 2, sometimes 4 small bottles of water.
Staff was helpfull.
Tv remote did not work well.
Hotel overcharged us 56.89$. The total amount including all taxes shown on booking was 6668.83$. The hotel charged my card for 6725.72$.

The hotel is run-down and poorly maintained. The furniture is in bad shape. The staff’s service and attention are terrible. The staff are poorly trained and somewhat arrogant. The guest is treated like a "number" and, in my opinion, should be treated like a "customer".
And on top of all that, they charge a $150 deposit per night to cover any expenses. I still haven't received any refund of this amount, which has been charged since December 19th!
