We had a lovely stay at Shoreham hotel. Staff was nice and friendly. Every day they tidy up the room, clean and change all the towels.the room was big enough with a nice balcony, big shower and a great view!
The location of this Hotel is absolutely 5 star! Perfect to go anywhere in Manhattan and also for transport. We really reccomend this place to anyone and we will be back!

LOCATION IS PERFECT
1/10 – Very disappointing and misleading experience at reception
After my flight was cancelled, I unexpectedly had to return to this hotel at around 7–8 PM and book a room for one additional night.
I went directly to reception and asked to book a standard room. The receptionist told me that I could not book the room directly at the hotel and would have to make the reservation through Booking.com or another website. I was also told that all standard rooms were already occupied and that I would therefore have to book a more expensive room category.
However, when I checked Booking.com while standing at the reception desk, it clearly showed TWO standard rooms still available for that same night. I showed this directly to the receptionist and specifically asked how Booking.com could be showing two available standard rooms if, as I had just been told, none were actually available.
I then told the receptionist that I was going to book one of those standard rooms through Booking.com anyway, and that if there really was no availability, the hotel could simply reject or cancel the reservation.
I made the reservation through Booking.com — and, surprisingly, the standard room was indeed available. My reservation was accepted, I was given a room, and I checked in normally.
This was extremely disappointing. I had initially been told that no standard rooms were available and that I would need to pay for a more expensive room, yet minutes later I successfully booked exactly the supposedly unavailable standard room through Booking.com and checked into it without any problem.
There was another issue that may sound minor, but was particularly frustrating under the circumstances. I asked the same receptionist for a pair of basic hotel/bathroom slippers and was simply told that the hotel had none.
It is very difficult to understand how a hotel of this size, with more than 100 rooms, cannot provide even a basic pair of disposable slippers to a guest.

The spacious room and location to tourist attractions and public transport. The staff were very helpful and ready to assist.
The bathroom was small and the room had no natural light. The door does not have sound proofing and did not close securely.

The room was OK—quite spacious with a big bed. The bathroom was also quite spacious, with a large bathtub. The carpet in the room was rather stained, but that didn't bother me much, as I spent very little time there—only at night. I didn’t have breakfast at the hotel. I was happy to see that the Hotel fairly quickly returned the $100 deposit I had to pay on arrival. The receptionists were very friendly and advised me every morning on which mode of transport to use.

Employees were nice & my bed sheets & bathroom was newer cleaner (sort of) - need bath mat to hide marble shower floor (looked dirty but not)- location & price was best.
Carpet was gross looking. Kept my shoes on while walking around. Was going to call down to see if cleaner room but no ph in rm. Was too tired to go back downstairs. Bed seemed clean so rested. Internet worked & tv so stayed in rm. Found out later that they will be starting renovations soon or in 2027. Yay! Ps: Cute Greek rest. Attached to hotel , but did not try!

I liked that it’s closed to everywhere… awesome location. The bathroom is great. The rooms are ok, solid.
It’s true that the rugs are old and they produce bad smell… but it’s a solid place to stay. Too expensive for what they offer… Not even breakfast…

I have stayed in many hotels around the world, and unfortunately, this is by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had.
The room was disgusting. The carpet was extremely dirty, there were cockroaches, and there was a terrible smell throughout the room.
The bathroom was also unacceptable. There is only a shower, with no proper way for a woman to wash her intimate area comfortably and hygienically.
On top of everything, the service was extremely poor and there was nothing about this hotel that justified the price.
This was a terrible experience from beginning to end. I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel. Definitely the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.

What made the experience even worse is that we were told that the hotel offers breakfast, but there is actually NO breakfast at this hotel at all. We were also told that the hotel has a sauna, but there is NO sauna either.
In other words, we were given misleading information about the facilities before booking.
The service was poor, the room was unacceptable, and overall this hotel was a huge disappointment.
The only positive thing about this hotel is its location.
I strongly recommend that travelers carefully check what facilities actually exist before booking. For us, this was by far the worst hotel we have ever stayed in.
