Hotel with a very good location, decent rooms, and satisfactory cleaning service, although it must be said that it does not deserve its four stars.
Very poor treatment from the receptionist, who was incompetent and rude. Her attitude gives a very bad image of the hotel.

The location is optimal. The Shoreham is close to many subway lines and surrounded by lots of fun places to eat, including the White Olive restaurant at the hotel. Thanks for making my visit a very pleasant experience.

Wonderful
Second year in a row in this hotel. Its a great value for its location, rooms are nice, clean and confortable. Bath are clean a with a good shower. So its useful for a short stay in NY.

The place tired and in serious need of an upgrade. There was no hot water and I couldn’t even get my bill printed.

Overall, the location was great and the room we stayed in was clean. The carpet could definitely use an update, but apart from that everything was maintained.
It was quite loud — we could clearly hear our neighbors talking, and since there was a family next to us, it was noisy throughout the day. The toilet and water pipes were also very loud. The carpet was quite old and could use a renovation. Additionally, there was a noticeable gap between the door and the floor, which let in a lot of light at night and made every sound from the hallway very audible. We also had no real view, so we had to keep the curtains closed, which made the room very dark with almost no natural light.

Disappointing
Location was great for all my meetings in Midtown. Bed was comfy. Housekeeping came regularly. The main WiFi didn’t reach my room but after talking with reception I learned there was a backup network that did.
I had a windowless room. It just looked onto a brick wall basically so no natural light. There was no kettle or mini fridge in the room which is annoying for business travellers. The gym room was a bit bleak, had no treadmill and the receptionist said it wasn’t open 24 hours.

Check in and check out.
Staff was ok - couldn´t print a document as "they ran out of ink" - was the argument. And that was it. Not answering the front desk, so going down to ask for something, found 2 girls giggling, apologizing that they didn´t hear the phone.. Not very professional. Furthermore, no coffee machine in the room, coffee corner downstairs opens at 7 am, so if you start you day earlier, better pop over to Starbucks around the corner.
