the location
We where upgraded before check in which was nice, but the windows of the bedroom in room 703 did not have proper seals and we could hear people talking normally at street level on the 7th floor. The garbage truck was there on Monday morning from 5am until 7am making a huge amount of noise. so we didn't have a good nights sleep.

The location was great in the staff was friendly.
The elevators are incredibly tiny and claustrophobic. The bathroom was also unusually small for a room with two queens for four people. The gym was also very limited.

It was three blocks from my NY office. I needed a place to stay where I could quickly walk to from my office
The outside entrance could have been more prominent

After we spent 1 night in a very small and dirty room, they moved us to a huge nice suite.
The suite was awesome, clean, large, nice balcony and very comfortable.
The first room was dirty in a way that we couldn't use the shower or walk barefoot.
The elevator is very small

My stay was mostly great, great restaurant, close to everything, friendly and helpful staff, amazing housekeeping staff.
I was incredibly disappointed
that I wasn’t informed that there was no internet or TV available. It was not working the entire length of my stay.

Disappointing
Great location
We arrived late at night. Told we were upgraded to the penthouse suite, and it was my 50th birthday so we were delighted! Until we went into the room. It is like a prison cell. Empty, concrete floor, no head board, blinds didn’t work, and it was freezing. The bathroom is very ugly, there was a huge hot tub, empty with an out of order sign. We went down to reception and requested the room we had booked to be told there were no other rooms. The male receptionist was unhelpful, uninterested, and would not help. The next morning at 7am after no sleep he was still on reception and I asked that by 5pm we would like our bags moved to an alternative room. We arrived back that evening to two ladies behind reception who knew nothing about my request. However, they were much more accommodating and offered to show us 2 alternative rooms. The first one had carpet and a headboard, I was so delighted and agreed straight away to move into this one. Whilst still basic, it was warm and cosy and fine for our stay. We were only in New York for 4 days so it was a real shame to have such a bad experience to start for a dream holiday.

Location was great
Could not get my television to work, the bathroom was clean, but very cold, the shower head needs to be replaced the hose was squirted out more water than the shower head.
