Pleasant
the location is great. its very well connected from the subway and a few blocks from central park. the location is the best thing about the hotel
the room we were given was tiny, it was worse than any of the photos of the same standard of room which are shown on the site. it was essentially a bed and enough room to walk around it. it was difficult to have a suitcase open in the room to unpack. there is no fridge in the room. Overall the room feels old. the carpet was pretty disgusting, you wouldnt want to walk barefoot on it. The room had a very small window looking into a courtyard which was very dirty. Overall it was a let down based on what we thought we were getting.

Wonderful
I just finished a 3-night stay at the Shoreham Hotel and had a fantastic experience. The hospitality here is truly top-notch, even if there are a few small areas for improvement.
Highlights of my stay:
-Exceptional Staff: Talita was amazing! She welcomed me warmly and was incredibly helpful and friendly every day. When the lobby shop was under construction, she even went out of her way to arrange hot water for my tea. The lobby shop personnel were equally kind and helpful.
-The Room: I was given a free upgrade to a beautiful, incredibly spacious room which made the stay feel extra special. Very comfortable beds and enough pillows.
-Amazing Dining: I dined at the White Olive Restaurant (conveniently accessible from inside the hotel). The food was delicious and the service was excellent.
-Perfect Location: The hotel is perfectly situated. It was so convenient that I was able to walk everywhere I needed to go.
If you are looking for a hotel that makes you feel genuinely valued as a guest, the Shoreham is a wonderful choice.
Room Amenities: The only things missing from making it absolutely perfect were a coffee maker and a small fridge. I would have loved to have those available in my room.

I really loved the location and the fact that hotel was small; therefore no big crowds at check-in.

Disappointing
The staff was friendly, bed comfortable. Location is great indeed.
The place is by no means not a 4-star hotel, 2-star rating is more applicable. "Good breakfast" consists of 1 croissant OR 1 muffin, muesli bar, 1 banana, 1 cup of (instant) coffee OR orange juice - that all can be purchased for a cheaper price in the closest store. Free WiFi is time-limited and cannot be accessed from the room. Consider that upon arrival You will be requested to make 100$ safety deposit (despite the fact there are no minibar in the room). The place certainly needs refurbishment - stains on the carpet, degraded cabinet in the bathroom. The pictures provided on booking are not compliant to the real looks of the space. Should have checked reviews on Google before making the decision.

The property is situated in a great location, walking distance to 5th avenues shopping precinct. The room we had was very spacious and had 2 rooms / 2 queen beds.

Only location
Room was not ready at 3pm and we had to wait. I didn’t pay attention to details for breakfast during booking and was surprised that the breakfast provided by a store located in the hotel. The breakfast included coffee or juice and croissant. Drinking water at lobby is not always available and subject to donation of the store. Not really comfortable for families. I'd not book the transfer that the hotel offers since drivers try to charge you more on top of the initial price (in my case 35% more).

Wonderful
Location of property was perfect. Very walkable. Room was clean, Bed was amazing for sleeping. Noise level is very low.
Parking was easy to find. Walkable to Moma, 5th Ave, eateries.
Elevators are compact. Bathroom was small but very functional. Lounge like area clean, yet not exceptionally comfortable due to layout, size & foot traffic to elevators.

Poor
Location
The rooms could be much cleaner. The carpets were heavily stained and often didn’t appear to have been vacuumed, and overall the rooms felt worn and not particularly clean. I also had a disappointing experience with airport transportation arranged through the hotel. The driver requested payment while we were still driving, which made me uncomfortable, and the hotel’s response was inconsistent and unhelpful. In the future, I’ll arrange my own transportation rather than use the service recommended by the hotel.

Fair
The main lobby looked nice and welcoming. Staff were nice and helpful. The overall location of the hotel was near lots of food places and Central Park which is why we chose this spot.
-Property was very small and outdated.
-The elevators are a fire hazard for sure, very small and holds like 3 people at a time.
-We booked 2 of the deluxe queen rooms and they looked completely different. It was very stuffy and dusty. It gave us a very icky feeling. Bring cleaning products if you can, disinfectant wipes at the very least.
-Bathroom was so small my knees were touching the sink while using the toilet.
-The shower head was not adjustable to accompany different heights or water pressure and the tub was just old.
-It’s summer time and There was no fridge to keep things cold. I can understand no microwave but a fridge is a basic necessity so I was surprised there was none.
- our booking included breakfast however there is no breakfast hall. There is a small vending area in Lobby with refrigerated goods and snacks that we get a snack and drink from. Your name will be on the list.

Very Poor
My recent stay at the Shoreham was extremely disappointing. I was moved to a different room, and the moment I walked in, it smelled like sewage. It honestly smelled like someone had just checked out without the room being properly cleaned.
Because of the smell, we ended up being late to our show. I tried calling the front desk, but the room phone didn’t even work. Every time I pressed the front desk button, it just said, “Forbidden.” When I finally spoke to staff, I was told I couldn’t switch rooms.
When I returned later that night, I had no choice but to spray a huge amount of perfume throughout the room just to make it bearable. For the amount I paid, I expected a clean room that smelled fresh and a phone that actually worked.
Between the condition of the room, the lack of assistance, and the overall customer service, this was a terrible experience. I would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone.
The location was close to the event I came to see
