Wonderful
Loved the interior of the hotel with its jazz theme. The rooms were comfortable with good views (we were on a high floor). The restaurant was classy if expensive. Lovely jazz club downstairs with a great vibe, The location is ideal: within walking distance of many NY attractions yet in a quiet respectable area.
The booking system for the jazz club - paying for an hour's slot then having to leave - feels inhospitable, especially if you are a resident.

In the heart of Tribeca, The Roxy blends a standout location with genuine personality: a true jazz club on site and a lounge that hums with live sets throughout the week. Service is consistently helpful, and the early-morning team deserves particular praise for their warmth.
The in-house cinema was unfortunately closed during our visit but is scheduled to reopen in early September. Our only real disappointment was the Wi-Fi, which was unreliable across our eight-day stay. The in-room AC feels dated, noisy, with airflow directed toward the bed. Hot water often took ~5 minutes to arrive and fluctuated, and the showerhead could use replacement.

For NYC standards, spacious room, great minibar / snack assortments and very comfortable bed.
Very rude welcome by receptionist working evening shift. She was frazzled and compensated her lack of competence by being haughty. Asked me to call the owner of the credit card without considering it was 3am back home. Needed her manager for every step, was extremely slow and gave me non-working room keys. Because of the live music and the construction of the hotel around the atrium, it’s extremely loud in the rooms and you need to use the built in silent noise speaker which is just weird. It’s also extremely dark in the rooms and makes you feel claustrophobic.

Love the place, the restaurant, the bar, the Django, the location.
The noise coming from the A/C is insane. Never heard anything that loud, plus vibrations. Woke me up every time it was switching in despite having earplugs. Had to turn it off and endure the heat. No sleep for two nights.
