Wonderful
Art studio theme was fun. The history of the hotel starting out as artist and writer studios in 1924 was reflected in the current conditions respecting me position on the national register of historic places. Well compact the furnishings were well placed in the plan was very efficient.
We had requested early after booking to have a room on an upper floor with a good view which was acknowledged in a phone conversation with the hotel. They put us on the third floor and the noise from the bar downstairs was disturbing. We thought that upper floors may still be under renovation however we then saw later that the 17 floors were occupied by guests.

The room was of a good size, modern and clean.
Our location was directly above the front door of the building which made a noise every time it moved. Disturbed our sleep.

Very nice hotel in a great location near the central station. The staff are very friendly. The rooms are relatively large by New York standards.
The rooms are nicely furnished and up to date. There is a small fitness room and coffee is served in the hotel restaurant/bar in the morning, which we really loved!
We visit New York often and would book this hotel again anytime.

Pleasant
Great location, close to Grand Central. Good sized beds.
Room in second floor was VERY noisy with street noise and the constant opening and closing of the front door could be heard in our room. Room was small with very little storage for the three of us in there. Nowhere to store large cases.

The bed was super comfortable. The bathroom was fresh.
We had a terrible room location. We were on the second floor on the street. Neither of us could sleep, Sirens, horns, loud people on the street, thumping music from the bar, doors banging, garbage pickup, leaf blowers... It was disappointing. I wouldn't choose the Renwick again.

Great location and very clean and comfortable room. The bed was really spacious and extremely comfortable. I loved the bar too.
The room was a little smaller than I expected and there was no view, but there really wasn’t anything I didn’t like.

the restaurant had a choice of a burger or basically nothing. could not eat a meal of lunch, breakfast or dinner in the hotel, not offered and no microwaves in rooms.

Good location near to Grand Central . Rooms were very clean with modern bathroom . Good size for a NY room. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Not accessible … steps at entrance so had to lift cases up and down, no alternative. No lounge/bar area. Agency of record is on the ground floor which is dark,loud and limited in terms of offering and not open all of the time.

Room was a good size and bed was very comfortable.
No smart tvs in room so no Netflix or other streaming services. Not acceptable with tv prices as low as they are now. Also, our room had no heat - (which they warned us about before we agreed to stay in it) just a space heater.

Disappointing
Location.
We rented a very expensive suite plus an additional room to accommodate our family of 4. And they couldn’t provide a blanket for the pullout couch in the suite until day 3 of our 4 day trip because they were “out of blankets” Unacceptable.
