The room more than met our expectations, with plenty of space (especially for Midtown Manhattan) and clean and well-maintained. The view of the Empire State building was amazing, and the staff could not have been more accommodating and helpful. We also loved the location, with walkable access to both Grand Central, Bryant Park and Times Square/Theatre District. We would happily stay there again.
Nothing negative comes to mind. It wasn't a cheap stay, but none of the places in that area will be. I felt it was a good value for what we got and the excellent staff.

Location, the views from the bathroom and the living room. Toiletries. The linens. Water pressure. Early check in. Pastries and hot beverages for complimentary breakfast. Quiet. Easy access to stairs. Decent gym.

Our stay was booked with Booking.com AND fully paid. When arriving at the front desk the employee told us we still had to pay the local tax. However I showed him our confirmation with Booking, which included all taxes, he would'nt believe us. He put a deposit of approximately 600$ on my Mastercard.
A day after checking out the Renwick charged the full stay EXTRA on my Mastercard (however everything was paid with booking) AND they put an EXTRA deposit on my Mastercard for approximately 1800$
Now, TWO weeks after our stay there still has been NO refund, nor a complete answer. I have reached out to The Renwick itself, as well as to Booking.com
