I enjoyed this hotel for its exceptional location and outstanding service. The staff is genuinely lovely and helpful. The housekeeping team does a fantastic job cleaning and was always ready to provide extra towels and pillows right away. The front desk was also very kind to grant me a complimentary late check-out. The best feature is the unbeatable location in midtown, just a 2 to 3 minute walk from Grand Central Station, putting all the major attractions and great restaurants within easy reach. The beds are very comfortable, offering excellent value for the area.
Several practical issues made the stay less comfortable than expected. The reception is inconveniently located down a flight of stairs from the entrance, which is difficult with heavy luggage. There are no in-room coffee or tea facilities not even a kettle. The only option is a basic self-service station in the bar each morning, an offering so limited I ended up buying my own kettle.

The location, the building and entrance, general decoration is nice. My room was very nice minus the fact that they attributed me a room where the curtains were broken and would not open. The front desk staff offered 2 other options but one was tiny with horrible view and window and second option was a suite that I would have to pay extra $150/night if chosen.
I didn’t like that a room with curtains that don’t open were an option and the fact that there is absolutely no service for breakfast only a pot of coffee or tea with pots of freezing cold milks.

Location. Location. Location. This hotel is all about location. And good service too.
The rooms. I have booked a King Suite, got a terrible AC internal facing on floor 3.
Replaced to an even worse AC outlet inside bath(!) a disaster waiting to happen room on floor 5.
Then, a day after a small room on floor 16. No suite, and didn't get a refund of the difference, though asked for it and was told that would be refunded!

This is a funky, heritage hotel in a brilliant location. The staff went above and beyond to make it a fabulous stay, and special thanks to Peter on the front desk who sorted me a room change over a little issue I had with my original room, and the lovely and super friendly doorman! I found the room clean, comfortable and spacious and although there’s no coffee/tea making facilities in the room, they have free tea and coffee in the bar in the morning. Some rooms have a view of the Empire State Building! The bar is cool too and has a small nibble like menu.
There was nothing I didn’t like. It’s a heritage building so some things won’t be ‘perfect’ but that’s part of the charm!

Great location, minutes away from Grand Central Station. Boutique hotel feel, comfortable mattress
Front entrance doors to hotel are heavy and not automatic with stairs upon entry, so hard with luggage. Hot water fluctuated, pillows were flat, safe didn’t work.
