The location is outstanding making it excellent value for money. You can get virtually anywhere in midtown Manhattan by foot.
I didn't use the restaurant as I found it dark and uninviting.

The check in was tough. I had a flight delay so I couldn’t come on the day I was booked- I had messaged the property and got a reply saying it was fine and I could come anytime they were open 24/7. But when I got there, the person was like you are a no show so we don’t have a room- I had to show her my messages and then she spoke to someone- took some time- finally checked me in. The room keys were out of order so I had to be let in- and wait for someone as he was at lunch. The hotel has no services like tea in the room or downstairs. The only tea that was available was at 7 am.
Then on checkout, I was charged $229.74 as a no show charge. This the person charged without any word to me.
I asked the person straightaway when I saw my bank debit for the amount.
He says it was no show charge.
Well, I did say I was late and you did say it was okay so where is the no show- flights do get delayed and we are in the middle of several wars, incase you have not noticed. Most air spaces are closed.
He asked me to take it up with booking.com.
I did and they sent a message from the hotel saying they won’t refund the first night stay- I wasn’t asking for the first night stay- only the no show charge on top of the first night stay.
Booking.com asked me to take it up with the hotel. I did message the hotel too.
No success.
I have paid in full for my stay and no stay $880 or so and another $229.74 for free.
I did not ask for the room rent to be refunded- I asked for the no show charge- the hotel writes saying we can’t refund the first night stay.
No, it’s not the first night stay.
It’s the no show charge I am asking for refunded.
So between being a genius level 3 customer of booking.com and a “guest” at the hotel, I’ve had a horrible stay as well as been charged ridiculously extra for a no show.
An informed delayed flight is going to be charged?

No coffee machine or kettle in the room. The coffee they offer in the lobby is AWFUL, undrinkable american drip coffee - no tea or anything after 11:00 am. The one sold next door is not good either. Not handicap accessible.

The bar was great everything else was abysmal
The cleanliness of the rooms is non existent, the elevator is horrible and there is no sense of security
