Good location. Housekeeping lady that came to clean room as it was dirty upon checkin was very nice.
Reception staff when I arrived early were not pleasant. Need to carry heavy suitcases up and down the front steps- about 6 steps. Not terrible but annoying. When checked in went up to room that was open (with door latch), there was hair on the floor and table was dirty. Next to room a continuous beeping sound from a naintanance closet and vacuum cleaner was left outside my room until checkout. Paid alot of money for a last minute 1 night booking and hope their standards are usually higher than what I experienced. Told the front desk all of this upon checkout- never even recieved an Email of acknowledgment.

We loved the historic and artsy vibe throughout the hotel -it was intimate and friendly, yet very professional and friendly. The hotel bar was delightful & our dinner was excellent. The location is excellent for our needs and we will return here again!

Location. Just one block from Newark express buss and a few blocks from Grand Central station. Neighborhood is more local than touristy and dosn't feel unsafe.
Hotel in general didn't feel like a 4-star hotel. Everything felt like a 3-star hotel. Lobby seemed small and there was a lot of noise from the bar in evenings. When the doorman is not around, some might have problems with the stairs from street to reception. No breakfast option, no tea or coffee maker in room. 550$ for one night was to much.

Good location, room nicely furnished, quite clean. Kind staff.
Quite small bathroom - with super small sink (i don't like those). No breakfast options. Price 513 USD per night is way too much for this room.

The hotel is very central and close to the Grand Central station. The rooms are nice and the bathroom clean.
The personnel is very "cold" and everything is only regulated by money, it is missing the human dimension.

The room was stuffy and had a strange smell. Turning the air conditioner on helped.
