Location was ideal near Grand Central. Close to metro. Beautiful lobby, record bar great, nice attentive staff. hotel is beautiful. It's an historic property and lovely. Daily bottled water was nice. The only unpleasant thing was getting hustled by the bellman to take his friends UBER back to the airport. We kinda felt forced to take it and it was more expensive than if we had booked it ourselves. It's not horrible but it leaves a bad taste after a really nice stay.
Price booked was high in comparison with other local hotels. Pushy bellman.

The hotel's location is excellent — it's hard to imagine a better one for exploring New York
The heating in the room works whenever it feels like it, and the windows are not particularly well sealed. The restaurant does not offer hot drinks outside of set hours — for example, getting a hot tea in the evening is not possible.

I really liked the size of the room and the way the space was utilized. I liked the furniture. I liked the size of the bathroom as well.
A counter in the bathroom for makeup etc would be nice.

I love the location, right next to grand central station! There's restaurants and bars literally as you leave the hotel! The staff was so friendly! The hotel is chic, clean and so cool, old building that is exceptional! My room was amazing and clean! I will go back when I visit new york again!

I had a suite which was great. The bedroom had little room for anything beyond the bed so happy to have the extra space.
The shower felt unsafe and potentially slippery to get out. Also electrical outlet where water can hit it feels wildly dangerous. The only other outlet in there was behind the mirror so not helpful either. On the first morning of a multi night stay housekeeping showed up before 9. I was still in the room. They never came back. Leaving they said they could get me a taxi to the airport. I said I wasn’t quite ready to go but would let them know if needed. I checked and Lyft was cheaper. They had called a taxi anyway and when I clarified it wasn’t needed and a car was coming they told me how tolls and taxes are included in the taxi. I was like, cool, good for them. They then took my bag outside to give to the taxi driver. I took it from the driver as he was putting it in his car. He went into the hotel mad and I left.
