Convenient restaurant with good food. Excellent mid-town location. Comfortable room.

Employees were very attentive and helpful. Room was generous in size and pretty quiet for NYC. Location was very convenient to shopping, Times Square and theaters, restaurants and transportation. On a more quiet street in the garment district. Loved the roof top bar as well. We requested a small fridge and it came quickly, no extra charge.
The room was very dark and the largest light required you to plug and unplug it, no switch. The ice machine on our floor (7th) was broken so we had to request that. Minor hassle but for some it might be an issue.

When I needed to move the date of the reservation, Booking.com was unavailable by phone for days, and the Refinery was not permitted to do so. Very inefficient, burdensome, and disruptive.
Also, not enough convenient electric outlets in the room.

Disappointing
Absolute disappointment. Room wasn’t ready almost an hour after checkin. No compensation. No real apology. Roof top bar seemed to let in a steady stream of loud goons who tried to use our lift key to access roof.
Weird place.
No way is this a five star hotel.

Staff was friendly and attentive. Room design was wonderful and a decent value for location and dates. Restaurants were good and also a decent value.

The location is excellent. The size of the rooms is also very comfortable.
Our particular room had several issues. Some of the lights would not turn on, the set up of the room was a little haphazard, and there were a few fixtures in the bathroom that seemed incredibly old and were flaking. We also had some issues upon check-in, where one of our tools was not ready until quite late after normal check in time, and the lock on the door did not work properly, despite having changed out the key three times. We also asked the front desk to make a reservation for us at the rooftop restaurant, but only we got there, after haven’t been told it was booked, they have no record of our reservation
