Pleasant
Location is very good walking distance to most landmarks and to the metro stations.
No coffee machine in the room, furnitures are too old.

We stayed in the JR suite, and it's gorgeous. Definitely going back requesting the same suite it was that beautiful ?
That I couldn't extend my trip to stay and enjoy it even more.

Polite and friendly staff. Beautiful interior throughout — the lobby, elevators, corridors, and design elements are outstanding. Great location, close to the Central Park and other parts of the city, with lovely coffee shops nearby. The room itself was spacious and quite large. Parking is conveniently located right next to the hotel, with a discount for hotel guests — a nice added perk. Since most rooms face inward, the sound isolation is excellent — you won’t hear any city noise at all.
The room had multiple visible stains on the floor, and the couch and sofa bed also had old stains that appeared to have been partially cleaned but were still noticeable. The biggest downside is the windows facing the internal courtyard — there is virtually no natural light, leaving the room in darkness around the clock with no way to air it out. The cost is high even by New York standards. Finally, breakfast was a major disappointment — slow service and poor quality for the price. I strongly recommend having breakfast at one of the many great spots outside the hotel instead.

Wonderful
some arm chairs and a bathroom with a huge bath - great for relaxing tired muscles after walking round the city all day. The thick, fluffy bathrobes were a nice touch, as was the small ‘anti-room’ in the bathroom for doing make-up etc. The layout was excellent, with a non-carpeted section by the door so that you could remove your shoes.
I was a bit concerned about noise when I first arrived as we were relatively close to Time’s Square and I’m a light sleeper, but the very thick curtains were excellent and you couldn’t hear anything. There was also no noise from any of the other guests.
The bed was very, very soft on the first night, so we asked at reception if anything could be done about it, like adding a topper or something. When we got back to our room, we swear that they had replaced the whole mattress (we couldn’t see anything added on top), which was really great service. I would recommend to anyone
The room had what could be described as “faded elegance”, which had lots of large wooden furniture which I loved, but some had issues – such as the nails coming through the back of the cupboard under the TV. Also, a little more attention could have been paid to cleaning. Overall excellent, but things like the tray on top of the fridge could have done will a wipe over. I am a clean freak however, and for me to be quite comfortable in the room means the overall standard was good.

Wonderful
The location for us as Theater goers was excellent. We walked everywhere! Staff are so very helpful. Our rate included breakfast which was very good and wait staff very nice.
No night turn down service. Because we were facing Times Square it was very noisy with the traffic and the lights were bright even with the black out shades. Just would not have that location again.

The location was convenient
We had to wait until 5 pm for our room to be ready when at 1pm, I was told it would be ready at 3pm check in time. We were late for our dinner engagement as a result. When I spoke to staff they offered to refund the resident fee of $51 but never did. Also, breakfast service was so slow we left after 40 minutes without ever getting my daughter’s bagel.

Not the newest and most up to date facility but considering the age of the facility the hotel was managed well and very clean. Complementary breakfast was a nice surprise. Espresso is better than expected. Staff is professional, friendly and competent.

We took a quick trip to do some shopping in the city. The location was perfect and on a quiet street. Rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. Great value compared other properties. Our pup enjoyed the stay too!
Everything was great! Wish we could have checked in earlier but it didn’t hinder our plans.

Very Poor
There is absolutely no sound insulation in the windows. Whatever is being said on the street can be heard clearly inside the room. There is constant noise from horns, traffic, and cars. The rooms are very old, and the carpets are extremely dirty. They definitely do not deserve the money they charge. The furniture in the room is broken, worn-out, and looks like 50-year-old wooden pieces. The bed sheets are dirty. The woman at the reception was not helpful at all; she practically scolded me when I asked about something. The air conditioner in the room is ancient, and when you turn it on, it sounds like a tractor. I didn’t eat anything because the hotel didn’t feel safe at all. I will never come here again and would not recommend it to anyone.

The hotel’s location is midway between Times Square and Central Park, and it’s convenient to many of the sites and things to do in NYC.
Nothing negative to say

Very Poor
I had to switch rooms twice. The mattresses had indentations (they were sagging and had dips), which caused me back pain. There was banging noise in the second room. The third room looked like a brothel. The pictures of the rooms didn’t match reality. The staff weren’t helpful. A bottle of wine was offered as compensation.

Great location
We had stayed twice before here and it was good.
No money has been spent in 20 years on the property and staff were very average, I suspect morale low in the hotel. Shame as it was previously very good.

This hotel, is clean, comfortable and quiet . The location, especially for theater goers is perfect, within a few blocks of most venues. Close to everything midtown has to offer and still far enough away to remain quiet . The staff was amazing, friendly and accommodating in every way, especially the manager Isael, he was great . The prices at the bar and in the restaurant are very reasonable for NYC . The rooms are large and well appointed although somewhat dated.
My room was very nice, however very dark, being a corner room there was no natural light, which I did not like. I would be sure in the future to get a room with a view and natural light. The valet parking is very expensive so I opted for the park yourself . The garage is within the block of hotel so not to bad . Expect to pay about $46.00 per day for parking with the hotel discount. The garage personnel were also very nice and accommodating.
Thank you for your information!
