The location is excellent in mid town Manhattan. Close to so many must do's in NYC. A block from Radio City, Rockefeller Centre , Times Square etc. Quite an old hotel and dated but we loved it. Quaint and lovely.
No jug or coffee maker in room . Nothing we didn't like.

I booked a grand suite which was a nice large space for 2 people. The bed was very comfortable, the location was perfect for walking to the Broadway shows and local restaurants.

Very spacious, elegant rooms, absolutely quiet, big bathroom with bathtub. The lobby is large and elegant, the small restaurant is charming, delicious breakfast. The location is perfect - walking distance to the theaters, Lincoln Center, restaurants.

Location is good, you can get a really spacious room, but old, fixtures broken.
Room service was really not good, couldn’t get through to anyone and had to come downstairs to the reception to order. The food came in very low quality and tiramisu cake was still ice frozen. Bidet pipes were broken - water on the floor if you try to use it. No curtains on a window, all lights from 7th ave in the room getting in the way of rest. Overall service seems pretty careless.

Great location, near Times Square, Central Park, and theaters. East subway ride downtown to the 9/11 Memorial and Financial district. Very clean and the bed was so comfortable. We were impressed by how quiet our room was. We were on the fourth floor, not very high up from the city hustle and bustle, and we couldn’t hear it at all.
It’s an older hotel, so it could use some freshening up in terms of paint, trim, etc, but all very minor.

Friendly accommodating staff.
When we made the reservation we were told we would be upgraded to a junior suite. But at check-in we were advised it would be another $65.00 a night plus taxes. The jr suite hadn't been cleaned so they switched us to a king. Only 1night was refunded.
