No coffee facilities in room, no modern amenities, get your own ice 4 floors up and down the hall, a doorman who watches as you drag your suitcase down the 5 steps and struggle to open the door with your hands full.

We stayed here once before, about 20 years ago and loved the room and the location. The location is great, for us, since we go to NYC primarily to see theater on Broadway and shopping.
We booked a deluxe King size bedroom for our 3 night stay according to my reservation with your company. In reviewing the hotel's website, I am fairly certain that the room they put us in was a superior sized room, no view at all, and definitely smaller than what we had before. There is no way that our room was 425 to 450 sq feet in size. I was immediately disappointed in the location and size of the room once it was ready. I decided not to make an issue about it as we were tired from our drive and wanted to relax and have dinner. The other issue involved the bell hop who delivered our luggage. When we checked in, our room wasn't ready but the bell hop assured us that our luggage would be delivered to our room as soon as it was ready. I paid a tip to him in advance since I assumed the luggage would be there when we would return to the hotel. Upon checking in later that afternoon, the luggage had not been delivered to our room but was sent up promptly after check-in by another attendant who wanted a tip. I explained to him that I had already paid someone else at the hotel for that service but he clearly expressed dissatisfaction with me for not giving him a tip as well. That did not go over well with me as the bellhop could care less that I had already paid for the service which he ended up providing.

## Not Suitable for Arab and Muslim Guests (Based on Our Experience)
Our stay at this hotel was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we've ever had.
From the moment we arrived, the receptionist, Ms. June, completely changed her attitude after seeing our names and realizing we were an Arab Muslim family. Instead of feeling welcomed, we felt as though we were being viewed with suspicion.
She insisted on charging a **$100 per night security deposit**, which came to **$700** for our stay. This requirement was not disclosed anywhere in the booking conditions on Booking.com, so it came as a complete surprise upon arrival. When I politely asked why such a large deposit was required, especially for a longer stay, she simply said it was because the hotel had expensive items in the lobby and guest rooms. The response felt unreasonable and dismissive. She also didn't explain anything about the hotel—not the breakfast, Wi-Fi, or any of the facilities. It was one of the least professional check-in experiences we've had.
The restaurant was another disappointment, despite breakfast being included. The breakfast selection was very limited, and the quality of the food did not meet the standards expected from a hotel of this category. In addition, we were asked to sign a bill every day, and the amount kept changing for same order.
The room itself was very old and not suitable for anyone with allergies. The overall cleanliness and air quality were below the standard we expected.
The entire hotel felt dark, outdated, and unwelcoming. Combined with the attitude of the reception staff, it created an uncomfortable atmosphere for my family throughout our stay.
After reading the Arabic reviews, we discovered that several other Arab guests had described experiences very similar to ours. That made us feel that what happened to us was not an isolated incident.
Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this hotel, especially to Arab and Muslim families.

Very Poor
It was extremely old and beaten up the worst room that I have ever stayed in New York. We checked out after the first night and moved to the Concorde who we booked through you. We were charged a night's stay as a penalty by your agent.
I feel that because we read your reviews and because we saw very few negative if any we should have been accommodated not penalized for the nights stay . Have not seen the credit that was promised for the remainder of the evenings and expect to see that credit on my card.
