Wonderful
Always there to clean the rooms
Gym was a bit poor - needs at least a leg machine and less cardio machines

Hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. As Brits, we like to have a kettle in our room, and one was provided within minutes of asking. The room was quiet, a good size and smartly furnished. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. Checking out and the hailing of a taxi all went very smoothly. Highly recommended.
Nothing.

Wonderful
We chose to upgrade to a suite which was very comfortable and roomy, nicely decorated with a comfortable bed and a lovely deep oval tub in the bathroom. The hotel is perfectly located - near the theatres but not in the hustle and bustle of Times Square. Near MOMA, Central Park, Rockefeller Center and 5th Ave. Very friendly, helpful staff made our week enjoyable.
No complaints.

My husband and I accidentally booked two suites. They were both very clean and nicely decorated.
Both of our suites faced the inner dark, outside area which meant the curtains were always drawn. I would have loved some sunlight. Also, the suite I stayed in smelled very strongly of men's cologne. The cleaning staff tried to remove the smell but it sure lingered.

Very Good
• Amaaaazing location close to Central Park, Times Square, Rockefeller center and many more
• Clean & spacious rooms and very friendly and helpful staff.
• Luckily we didn’t suffer from any noise from the busy street
• Plus the hotel always smelled amazing :)
I’m We made our reservation about 6 months prior to our arrival. The photos of the room we booked showed a nice window view, however our assigned room was dark, located on the hotel’s lowest floor, and the window faced a neglected inner courtyard.
We couldn’t even tell what the weather was like outside.
We didn’t want to make a fuss about it as the room was spacious, but it would be nice to be offered a nicer room considering how much in advance we had booked (for 10 nights) and it was our very 1st time in NYC.
Overall, the hotel could use a refresh, as some areas are showing signs of wear. Certain carpets are noticeably worn, and the furnishings feel outdated. Our bathrobes were frayed, and the toilet didn’t flush properly. Sound insulation between rooms is quite poor — we could clearly hear plumbing noises whenever someone used the shower, as well as doors closing throughout the floor.

Spacious, luxurious, well designed, a lot of gracious staff.
Had to ask twice to have luggage brought to room after it failed to appear after 1/2 hour, and I had to dress for an event ASAP. Second request still took 15 minutes when I needed it right away. No coffee set up included in the executive suite. Had to request twice, with two hours of waiting in between. Also: Parts of suite not cleaned well. Powder room had soap spots on faucet and mirrors, and no soap. Mini bar did not have nearly the array of snacks listed. I felt at checkout that I needed to go over this with the front desk so that I was not charged for “missing” items which were not there to begin with! And I feel as though I swill still need to confirm! - I would have enjoyed having several of the items missing from the minibar choice. Snickers and MnM’s are not very high end and don’t go well with Piper Champagne. - A couple of bottled waters should have been provided, gratis. These things are routine in lesser hotels. Why someone on high would think that it is appropriate to cut corners in such a luxe as well as expensive hotel is beyond me.

Staff!!! And proximity to George Clooney’s play:)
It was really dated. Not much changed since I was here over 20 years ago. The lamps were unstable, spots on the crush velvet furniture…WAY TOO MUCH Broadway lights flashing in all night even with blinds and curtains closed.

The room size was excellent as an Executive room, thankfully it was as the pictures portrayed and the reviews of others. It had ample space for bags, slippers & gown, lounge chairs and 2 other comfy chairs. I also loved the bath, it was wide. The bed and pillows were comfy for me. The Doorman were great, friendly and brought a comfort to returning, worth their tips for sure!
The restaurant is small and had limited food options, although there are so many options right outside the hotel. There was a common smell of 'weed' through the floor hall ways, I'm not sure how this can be monitored. Thankfully this smell did not come into my room.
The fitness centre was a lot smaller than the pictures showed. It is very basic, maybe 5 machines & some free weights.
Also, if you have purchased breakfast in your package, ensure you ask the waiter what food/drink in included? - otherwise you'll be charged. The breakfast is not a buffet, you choose from the menu, but not everything is included.

Very homely and quiet hotel. I liked the fact it only has 8 floors. It’s a very classy and comfortable hotel.
Couldn’t use a lift to manoeuvre my heavy bag at the hotel entrance.

The best hotel we stayed in while visiting New York! The room was so spacious, well equipped and the only disadvantage (if I call it that) was no USB outlet so we had to buy an American charger for our iPhone
We will definitely come back again!! Highly recommended hotel in every way!!
