Excellent service, spacious rooms, very clean, soundproof from the "madness" of midtown Manhattan, all necessary amenities were in place.
Everything was.more than ok, I would only wish that the rooftop bar was open every night. The price was also higher than normally becauseof Christmas.

We loved the Kitano! The staff were super friendly and attentive, they made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Our room was spacious and had an incredible view of the Empire State Building. The location of this hotel is perfect for exploring NYC, it’s a quiet street and felt very safe.
The beds weren’t very comfortable and on the small side. The carpet could have done with being cleaned and we felt the room could do with a little touch up in terms of decoration. It was quite tired and dated.

Fantastic hotel, and the best location you could wish for. We really liked the location so much, very close to everything on mid Manhattan NY. Close to Grand Central, Empire, Fifth Ave, Times Square, Central Park etc. and close to many good cafes and restaurants (all with few minutes walking distance). The hotel staff was so nice and very service minded, very helpful, always with a smile. We extended our stay at Prince Kitano New York with 3 more nights and moved to rooms on a higher floor. These rooms were really great (newly renovated - and heated toilet seats :-)) with view to Chrysler building and the skyline. The hotel has a great roof top bar with a fantastic view to Empire. We really enjoyed the bar (and the food) here. The hotel welcomed me and my family so well after a bad experience we had elsewhere when we arrived in New York. Very helpful and flexible. Also great that we could store our luggage after check out on the last day, before leaving for the airport. We liked everything about this hotel. Thanks for a great stay!

Location was very good, few blocks from time square but walking distance was ok, room was spacious, clean and well maintained.
Nice view on the Empire State Building
There should be a separation between the toilet and bathroom or a door.
Expensive for a room and for valet parking

Nice location - at the heart of the city, but in a relatively quiet spot. Really cool breakfast buffet which features traditional Japanese food like grilled salmon and miso soup. The room itself was quite elegant, with nice carpet and semi-modern lights and fixtures.
No athletic facilities in the building, but they do provide complementary access to a commercial gym located 4 blocks away.

The hotel is in an excellent location. The staff is wonderful. Our beautiful corner room offered nice views of Grand Central Station and the waterfront. The rooftop terrace offers a great view of the Empire State Building. We always enjoy our stay at The Prince Kitano New York.

Great location near Grand Central Station and walking distance to lots of the sights. We had a nice room, quiet, comfy beds, with an amazing view of the Empire State Building which made our stay
We didn't eat at the Hotel, we would have if the breakfast was more reasonably priced. The rooftop bar looked nice, and would def try that next time (was closed on a few days we were there)

Location, staff, and common spaces were excellent. The staff were especially friendly and professional. The lobby was beautiful, comfortable, inviting, and decorated for the holidays. We especially loved the aromatherapy scent in the hallways and heated toilet seat in our room!
Rooms need coffee station! There were only electric teapots with Taster’s Choice instant coffee packs. For the over $1000 we paid for one night i(Townhouse Suite) we expected Nespresso machines or, at the minimum, Keurig. It would also be great to have had Japanese toiletries like Shiseido to get an authentic experience that makes the Kitano more memorable and set it apart from other boutique hotels in the city.
