It's very noisy in the hotel, it's as if the windows don't exist; they are very old and let in all the noise from the street.

A high tier hotel in a classical style. Incredibly spacious rooms for Manhattan. The hotel is very clean and the cleaning crew is always on top. Spacious comfy bed with high quality bedding. The sofa bed is spacious and comfy to sleep on. The bathroom comes with daily restocked high quality amenities. Friendly and helpful personnel. Good location on midtown. We really enjoyed our stay.
The only downside are the windows, which do not isolate sound very well and given the location of the hotel is in such a busy place, the street noise can get pretty loud, especially from the sirens. This however does not take away from how amazing the hotel is.

The location is superb, easy access to everything central and with a subway nearby. The room size is excellent for a family of 4 and had the most comfortable sofa bed I’ve ever slept on! Everything is clean and the children loved the traditional decor, it felt very glamorous New York to them. Breakfast in the rooftop restaurant was a highlight and the staff in the restaurant were so friendly and helpful. We would absolutely stay at the Kimberley again on our next visit.

I requested an upgrade to the larger suite with separate living and bed room as a special treat for my sister for her birthday and was delighted on arrival to find the hotel obliged. What's more, shortly after we arrived a staff member delivered an excellent Cabernet Sauvignon and personalized birthday greeting from the hotel. It made for a special surprise. The PH on floor 30 is absolutely stunning, serving breakfast each day and cocktails into the night. Midtown East is my preferred neighborhood and I've finally found a home way from home for my several trips per year to the Big Apple.
Keeping in mind NYC is "the city that never sleeps" it's important to note that street noise is almost impossible to avoid which may be bothersome to some. This is the only reason I rated the property a "9" rather than a "10"
