Location is excellent. Staff is helpful. Room service cleans the room every day.
Rooms are not small but they have a weird layout, they are long and narrow. Bathroom doors are either barn doors or swinging door, so they don't really close like a regular door. Furniture, carpet and room interior is not extremely old but it's dated. Some rooms are so narrow that if you open the sofa bed, then it blocks you from getting to the bathroom.
Walls are really thin, so you can hear other guests coughing, sneezing and snoring as if they were inside your room.

Great location and friendly and helpful staff. Good coffee maker on the second floor break room. Loved you could get to many locations on foot.
Bed was against a half wall which made it tricky for the person sleeping on that side of the bed to get out during the night without disturbing the other person. This configuration was not evident in the room pictures when selecting the room. Rooms were just a tad cramped.

The Jewel Hotel is not a jewel at all. It’s nothing more than an overpriced three-star hotel with a great location.
The rooms, though clean, scream cheap. The bed felt like solid concrete, and the towels in the bathroom were so bad I had to go out and buy some. At $500 a night, it’s definitely not worth it. The staff was nice, though.

The Jewel is a jewel in the center of mid town! It is so easy to walk everywhere from this hotel. Great rooms and front desk staff! Nice room to relax while we waited for our room to be ready

The staff is super kind and truly makes you feel welcome. Location is perfect if you are on business and have meetings around Midtown. Very happy with the cleanliness. Rooms & guests were quiet, besides the street noise that you expect to find in this part of town. The view of St. Patrick's Cathedral from my room was a fantastic surprise I was grateful for.
The photos sell it a bit too well, as in, they don't show that the rooms & environments are not very new and fresh. I would not count on the gym, unless you want to work out on a Peloton bike. Ceilings in the hallways are pretty low and the space is narrow, which I didn't love because I get claustrophobic.
