Disappointing
I liked the location and the staff, which are all nice people.
The AC automatically turns on and off by motion detectors. So if you´re out of the room it shuts down. It also shuts down when you´re sleeping because there´s no movement. I would wake up in the middle of the night because it was summer in NYC, and the weather was 90 degrees.

We absolutely loved our stay! The location is perfect — close to everything and such a great spot to experience New York.
What really made our stay special was the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always willing to help. The concierge team was amazing as well and made everything so easy for us.
I came to New York with my best friend and we honestly couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay. We felt so comfortable and well taken care of throughout the entire trip. We would 100% stay here again and highly recommend it! ?

Wonderful
Pool, rooftop bar, the spacious room, cleanliness of our room and main areas. The staff was friendly and kind. The location was perfect! SO close to many subway lines that take you to Brooklyn or uptown. Highly recommend staying here!
Street noise was quite loud (which is expected in a large city; but this was exceptionally loud with construction noise, as well). We were on the 5th floor so I’m guessing it was loud because we were pretty close to street level.

Very Poor
Good location and that’s literally about it
Staff doing the bare minimum, photos online are horrendously over glamorised

The hotel is nice and the view from the rooftop is just amazing. We loved the heated floor in the bathroom :)

Escellent location. Clean, comfortable and spacy room. Breakfast was also decent. I would definitely come back.
Nothing in particular.

Very Good
Location, comfy bed.
Small rooms, the WiFi basically doesn’t work for the lower level rooms. Had to do all my zoom calls in the hotel’s common areas. Poor lighting in the bathroom, and no special mirrors or lighting for makeup.

Pleasant
Great location, clean rooms.
Pool hours were odd- only open until 2pm on weekends? And it was overcrowded, no chairs available. It was one of the main reasons I booked the hotel, so a bit disappointing.

Poor
Great location, and easy to get to within the city.
Three major problems. Room was ready 30 minutes late and we weren't notified about it finally being ready--we had to go to the front desk. Second was the linens were stained in the room when we arrived, had to get them replaced. Third was that the AC didn't work in our room! We asked them to fix it while we were away and they didn't. We arrived in our room in the middle of the night with no working AC and had to change rooms.
The room we changed to was actually a downgrade from what we booked. We originally booked the sky suite, and we got downgraded to a standard room. I said we're fine staying there just to avoid changing rooms again as long as we're compensated for the downgrade. We got $100 in service credits and a late checkout as a result. A $250 value (with the late checkout being questionable) for a pretty expensive upgrade.
Overall, I wanted a relatively luxury experience in the city and we paid a relatively luxury price for it. What we got was a cluster of problems and a staff that seemed bound to enforce policy instead of help correct the issue.

Good
The property has a very cool feel while being in a very stellar location. Close access to multiple subway lines, and walking distance to pretty much anything you’d need.
This was my second time staying at the property and the first time the staff was much friendlier. The rooms are in decent shape, but it’s unfortunate many are facing a giant construction site, and additionally several of the bathroom fixtures weren’t really working well - the shower leaked out of the sealed corner (not even counting where the pane of glass doesn’t connect to the wall) and the sink was extremely slow to drain. I think the biggest factor is that this is listed as a five star hotel, but this feels like a comfortable four. Everything was just “ok”, I think you’d have better luck booking at a really nice four star hotel and saving yourself some money.

Beautiful rooms and location
We spent more for an upgraded room. Unfortunately this put us on a high floor and the loud music from the rooftop bar kept us up both weekend nights. They were not able to give us a different room and while they said they’d bring ear plugs they did not follow through.

Very Good
Cool and modern while still being comfortable and intimate. Fun art and style throughout. Quiet, without too much city noise or from other guests. Great location for us near hip neighborhoods and easy parking option.
The guest services texting system. It was not effective and caused some confusion and trouble.

location is great
not 5 star service at all
some of the staff were nice, some were rude
they are definitely understaffed so everything takes forever (getting your bags from storage, answering the phone, checking in)
my room wasn’t even made one day and i had to call twice to at least get my towels replaced

We LOVEDDDD this hotel. It was our honeymoon and they went above and beyond to treat us so well. We loved the room and view and La Labo soap and shampoo. We also loved the location.
Nothing.
