It’s quaint, very European feel, not crowded with long waits for elevators, very spacious room for NYC
They should open the bar for breakfast so we can have mimosas and Bloody Marys.

It’s located close to theatres, Times Square, and great restaurants. The staff were incredibly friendly. The room was much bigger than I expected for a hotel in NYC and very comfortable. The continental breakfast was mostly pastries but the food was good. The shower was also the best I’ve experienced in a hotel. We’ll definitely return there next time we visit New York.
I would have liked a bit more protein options with breakfast. They only had hard boiled eggs, which weren’t peeled. I skipped them because I didn’t want to mess with the shells. That was a very minor thing tho and in no way detracted from my enjoyment of the stay.

The location is perfect for anyone going into the theater district.Small details make your stay feel welcome and relaxed. Real coffee mugs and glasses were in the room, along with some utensils. Classical music was playing as we entered the room. A continental breakfast was served in the adjacent restaurant with excellent coffee.. We loved this hotel and will use it next time we visit Manhattan.
The bed was a little bit hard.

Hotel Scherman is the perfect NYC hotel. The hotel is beautiful and the staff are excellent. This is our second stay and will not be our last. It's the only place we'll stay when we're in the city.

I don't always give such high marks but EVERYTHING about this hotel was awesome. It was extremely clean, beds were great, the small kitchenette was a bonus, bathroom was great, and breakfast was terrific!

Close to all our needs like Time Square, Port Authority, Madison Square Gardens, Central Park, lots of Restaurants near by, shopping, Theaters & shows.

Beautiful room with brick walls, plenty of space. Nice breakfast in lovely room.
Some street noise in our room which was on the street side. Bathroom steamed up since there was no fan.

The hotel was a delightful surprise at every turn. The room was comfortable and welcoming. It felt immediately like home. The breakfast space was gorgeous (photo). The roof top terrace was peaceful despite the proximity to time square. Even the wallpaper in the hallway was pretty!
I would have liked a gluten free option at breakfast. Maybe the granola? But really, the stay was perfection.

The hotel is in a great location. The room was spacious and clean - very nice, and it was surprisingly quiet after 10:30-11:30 p.m. considering how close it is to Times Square. No complaints at all. My rating on value was purely because the price was very high because of the World Cup.

Staying here was such an overall pleasant and comfortable experience it made our whole trip go so smoothly. The room we stayed in (deluxe / king) was beautiful, so clean and pristine, and with a corner desk and Juliet style balcony. The breakfast included was also a bonus. The hotel was also perfectly located. We saw shows each night and one theater - Winter Garden - was a 7 minute walk, and then Moulin Rouge was playing right around the corner. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We truly absolutely adored this hotel and will be back for future stays. Love the pied de terre feeling.
