We were really impressed with our stay at the Scherman, we loved the boutique feeling of the hotel and our room was a great size (value for money), with a fridge and coffee machine and space to put bags/clothes. For a family of four it was really nice. The location is great too.

Nice, older building with an elevator and rooftop patio although it was winter and not a consideration. Bed was comfortable, nice linens. We enjoyed the continental breakfast that was served. The location was great. We walked wherever we needed to go. Staff were very friendly.

The property was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Check-in was smooth, and the front-desk staff member was very nice and welcoming! The location was convenient, and the space had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was well stocked, and the property felt safe and well-maintained overall.

Location was convenient for our purposes, room spacious, clean
At check in they demanded original credit card used for booking (even though room was prepaid) which I didn’t have with me. This resulted in a long wait and negotiations with management to find a solution. Really frustrating and completely unnecessary. We missed our dinner because of that.

Our room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast in the new location was so nice. Staff is friendly and accommodating. West side location is great. All around good choice for a stay in NYC.
Our room was located on the street side and it was so noisy. Lots of loud voices and trash collection. Not sleep conducive. We have stayed at this hotel previously and never had this problem.

Location and near by restaurants are good. Walkable to Times Square
Bathroom was small and one light bulb popped out, exposing the wires near the shower. Also, the bathroom door didn't lock.
