I like the area , and the hotel itself
I didn’t like that there was WiFi when it’s very pricey and didn’t add that feature . Bathroom curtains were too high and water kept wetting the floor

Location connivence atmosphere
Showers take a long time to get warm. We have stayed here several times only time it is an issue is on a first floor rooms. No big deal.

Great location just across from the Lincoln Center
The room needs some maintenance. The paint is old and peeling. The bathroom is tiny. If you are under 5’8”, you cannot even reach the tissues in the bathroom - it’s very vertical. Even the ironing board is itty bitty. Outlets by the bed are minimal - not enough for a CPAP and charging a phone. It’s a very stylish hotel in a great location but needs some upgrades.

Friendly staff, nice lobby, convenient location. Bed and bedding were comfortable.
Guest rooms, bathrooms and hallways need updating. There were worn surfaces in the wood, especially in the bathroom.
There were no hand towels or bathmats. The faucet was loose.
The hvac unit was very noisy.

The location was great. Right in the middle of everything we wanted to see while visiting. Short walk to the museums and the trains. The restaurants in the hotel were lovely and easily accessible. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Answered all questions asked.
We kept setting the heat to 68° and no matter if we put it on AC or heat it would ramp up to 76° - 78° in the middle of the night. Very unpredictable. The shower was very confusing. We needed staff to come upstairs to help. Able to figure out but it was still touchy.

The (Hispanic?-I don’t wish to mischaracterize him) gentleman on duty at the desk from 11am on the 18th was simply splendid. He went above and beyond and he continued on the next day when I said goodbye. As well, the gentleman who was handling luggage hold from Wednesday afternoon/evening and Thursday am was especially attentive and kind.
There wasn’t anything I didn’t like!

Disappointing
The location was great for the reason we were in town. The cold weather and snow were present experience.
Our rooms(2) were extremely small for me and my traveling guests. The pictures of the rooms on your website, they appeared larger. The accommodations lacked the vibe for its location. No one informed me or my guests that a reservation was required for the rooftop bar. We were turned away even after stating we were guests at the hotel. The parking was not on site as described.

Love the empire! Possibly my favourite hotel experience in New York. Always feels like you’re a part of the buzz of Manhattan without being trapped in time square.
It’s a little outdated but that’s a part of its charm.

My stay was very disappointing. The air conditioner in the room was broken, and I had to call and ask them to fix it myself. There was no blanket provided, which was very uncomfortable. The room had a very bad view and was dark. When I asked to change rooms, even offering to pay extra, the hostess was unfriendly and said the hotel was fully booked. On top of that, the phone in the room was very old and didn’t even have numbers on it, making it difficult to use. Overall, poor service, uncomfortable room, and unhelpful staff. I would not recommend this hotel.
