Stayed here 10 years ago and it was great, massively gone downhill since. Location is decent
Stayed here 10 years ago and it was great, massively gone downhill since. My room stunk of chlorine, paint was peeling from the walls, the heating system didn’t work, tiny rooms. Just really sad to see a once great hotel go downhill so much. Wouldn’t stay again.

The location was great for my purpose. Many of the staff were great.
Two of the cleaning staff decided that it was acceptable to enter my room and go through all of my belongings. When confronted, they claimed they thought it was all items that I had left behind. Seriously!!! Four new suitcases lined up ready to go, a backpack and laptop sitting on the desk next to my new watch still in the box!!!! If you stay here, watch your personal belongings closely and never allow cleaning staff in your room.

Location was great, close to Central Park and MTA
The heater and AC in the room was horrible. One didn’t even work until we complained and got a maintenance helper there. The other only had two options off or 80+ degrees

Check in was wonderful from the doorman who greeted me getting out of the taxi to the front desk staff who gave me complimentary water!! Everyone was friendly, and said hello as I passed them by, and the actual check in itself was fast!
Our AC/HVAC unit was not working and the room was at about 80 degrees on a pretty warm day. It took almost 8 hours to get the room to a decent temperature. The saving grace of this experience was that the front desk was helpful and responsive.
There was construction RIGHT OUTSIDE MY WINDOW that started before 8am on a Saturday morning. I asked for a quiet room, and this was a HORRIBLE wake up call to an otherwise pretty pleasant experience. It would make me think twice about rebooking at this hotel.
There was not a coffee maker in the room, which is sort of weird for a hotel, especially one in this price range.

Had cockroach in the room. Staff had us move to different room.
