We spent one night at the hotel and made it a full Bowery experience - dinner at Gemma, drinks at the bar, and breakfast in the room. The hotel is beautiful and the bar has a great atmosphere. The rooms are small, but comfortable. We had a corner room with views in both directions and an amazing soaking tub!
There was a delay in our room being ready for check-in, which was fine, however as an apology the front desk manager said he would take breakfast off our room tab. It was a really nice gesture, except that he didn't do it, and we were charged in full. It wasn't a big deal since we were planning to order it anyways (and the breakfast was very good!) but it's the kind of thing that you really shouldn't promise guests unless you're going to follow through.

Generally, the staff were kind and the place is clearly trying, but it’s not ideal for people who don’t enjoy a vintage concept. For me, the room felt too stuffy and closed in.
We requested a late checkout. The hotel did have available rooms, but they asked us to pay for a full extra night. We explained that we only needed a room for about 30 minutes to take a shower before our flight and even offered to pay a partial amount instead of the full nightly rate, but they refused.

Wonderful location, staff was amazing - so efficient, warm and everything from room service to staffers at reception, at the restaurant , housekeeping were all on point, so warm and kind. Beautiful room, comfortable, clean, loved the small gym, location amazing ! 10/10 everything ! Even the small touches of boxed water, cookies, Marvis toothpaste to body wash etc - all great touches ! For years I have stayed at another 5 star hotel in the area and it has really gone down - I am moving all my business for myself and team here ! Thank you for a great stay!

The room was good, the teams were friendly. reception and door were excellent.
The bar areas, even though it was lovely, full of young drinkers at the weekend, really spoilt the bar vibe for an old school bar. It was just full of rowdy people. Very disappointing for a hotel guest and felt it really let the hotel down, would also be a reason why I wouldn't stay again which is a shame
