Super helpful staff. Location was great. Comfy bed. Nicely remodeled bathroom. Robe.
It was a little shocking that the carpet was badly stained everywhere. In the room. In the hallways. Not just a little like big stains. It may be because of the color being so dark. And the doors to all rooms need to be painted. So the hotel itself looked like it needed a refresh. But the room (not including the carpet was good.

Great location in Tribeca, comfortable bed, and some of the staff are friendly. The hotel still has some of its original charm. They accommodated my late checkout, which I appreciated.
The hotel is just not what it once was. The staff used to take a much more personal approach (acknowledgement as a return guest, e.g.). The room was looking run down and in need of an update (stains on wall, chair, etc.). Charging in the room is outdated for USB type, which is not handy for international travelers.

The team at Smyth Tribeca is welcoming, friendly, professional, knowledgeable about the area, and exceeded our expectations to make our stay exceptional. The location for exploring and access to the subway is great. Our room was modern and nicely sized. Refreshing citrus water in the lobby was much appreciated after returning from exploring the City during warm summer weather. The breakfast in the Smyth Tavern is fresh and delicious. Check out the Smyth Lounge if you enjoy a cocktail and a nice spot for conversation.
